This is one of the best places I've been, very warm and friendly. The food here is amazing and what can I say about the atmosphere!

This is a nice downtown mexican restaurant with great food. The corn tortillas are perfect & delicious. It is a casual, open restaurant atmosphere, but not too noisy for good conversation. There are lots of good menu choices to choose from.

Must get there early if you want comfortable seating for lunch. The place fills up quickly. I've been around 4 times and always ordered something different. Always had great food.

The seating is limited but food is impressive. Service is very good as well. You will be well looked after. I have had the fish tacos many times and they are the best.

Seriously, this place is a Canadian institution. Solid meat and amazing tortillas...I love the corn soup which I usually have the day after heavy drinking as it seems to clear me right up ! Wash it down with a cold Mexican beer and relax in a true Cantina. Highly recommend the sandwiches as well as the desserts...authentic Mexican Tres Leches... More

I am Mexican and this is so far the most authentic, its fantastic. First thing I noticed was the corn tortillas which is crucial! Wheat or flour tortillas are not Mexican yall, they're American. if you want American go to Julios and stay there :) please don't change a thing about this place!! top notch mmmmmmmm mmmm mmmm

Went for lunch on Saturday. My wife had the fish tacos, I had a buritto. They were great. Due to the fact that I don't really like corn tortillas, the waitress asked for wheat tortillas which was awesome. Only complaint was that there should be more wheat tortilla dishes.

Tres Carnales has really great food, but the space is so small that I've been deterred from going again. There is also nearly no affordable parking available around the area so expect to have to pay quite a bit for parkades or parking lots in the area. The service is good, however it feels rushed while you're there as they... More
