This is my go-to sushi place. Great little sushi joint owned by Japanese people. Fabulous service. Everything is fresh, moderately priced (not cheap!) and delicious. It is the only place in Edmonton, that I know of, that serves real wasabi (ot the powdered kind) TIP: Make a reso as it is a small restaurant.

Food was really good, quite cozy. Specially like the fresh wasabi paste. Definitely would recommend going there.

I needed a quick lunch and didn't want to do fast food. I went to Sushi Wasabi at 11:30 (before the lunch rush) and was prompted greeted and seated. The service was friendly and professional. My Bento box lunch was of good quality. I am glad that I had lunch at this restaurant!

The Wasabi is not the biggest, but is the best. Freshest fish in the city and quiet atmosphere with very good service. It' like being home and eating home made food. The prices are reasonable and surprise a lot of people. Check the hours as they are not always open. Serve Japanese food at the Devonian Festival. Enjoy

Their service is fast. I like the open kitchen where I can see how my order is making. The sashimi is super fresh and tasty.

My Japnaese friends and I go here frequently for lunch. We almost always have the Makuno-uchi Bento Box and green tea. The food is fresh and wait staff is most capable. This place opens at 11:30h on most weekdays and is busy most days for lunch and dinner. The restaurant is small, well-known, and usually busy. We always get there... More

Japanese-owned Japanese restaurants are usually more expensive than their Korean and Chinese counterparts. This is definitely the case for Wasabi. And with the higher markup, I've typically experienced more authentic food with better service. This applies to all the Japanese restaurants I've been to across The US and Canada. Wasabi was an unfortunate exception however. The staff was courteous and... More

We went to Wasabi for our first time today. It's a pretty busy place and on a Friday night without a reservation we were seated at the bar, which is fine with me because then I get to watch them make the sushi. Two of us shared the Wasabi Combo and it was filling and delicious. The quality of the... More

It's hard to find authentic Japanese food in Edmonton ... this place is it! The owners are Japanese, and the food quality is as good as I have tried in Sapporo. Best sushi I've tried in Edmonton.

Sushi Wasabi is undoubtedly one of the better sushi places in Edmonton. It's small, and the menu quite as vibrant or large as some of the larger chains, but they make what they have very well. Sometimes there is a surprise on the menu, usually featuring some authentic and adventurous appetizers. While the flavour of these might be a little... More
