Came here for dinner last night for my birthday. There were 3 of us. We had a nice table near the private room. The hostess who seated us was a bit odd (she pointed to our table and said that was our table and told us to sit but at the same time, was busy cleaning up another table next... More

We had made reservations in Oct/Nov for January just after New Years as we were away. Called the restaurant to say we were running a bit late and advised not a problem. However upon arrival the hostess made a comment that because were late that a booth would not be available for us and we were immediately disappointed as this... More

We were lucky enough to get a table for our family of six (4 adults and two boys 8 and 9) on Dec 30 short notice. We walked by Lux many times previously dismissing it as too "trendy" looking and likely lacking in substance. Big mistake! I had a very delicious duck entree, husband had a NY steak which he... We loved the food! Higher on the price point but soon good. It's a busy place so we had to sit in the lounge, but they take reservations if your organized enough. Great menu for food and drinks. We ordered the lobster truffle Mac and cheese. You'd assume the lobster would be token but it wasn't! Big lobster chunks. Each... More

There are very few options for vegetarians in this restaurant. We did order one past dish, but it was also smelling like meat. This restaurant is not for vegetarians.

Retro music and wonderful cocktails. The atmosphere and service were right on the money. You pay a little more here but do get the service and quality of food expected. My wife asked for a cocktail not on the menu....no problem. The barman showed his professionalism and hit the target. Really enjoyed the food. The blackened chicken was cooked to... More

We had reservations for 6 people on a Friday night. We were seated promptly. Our waiter was very knowledgable about the menu and suggested the lobster mac and cheese as a side dish. Five people at our table had steak which they thoroughly enjoyed. I had the prime rib which was the special of the evening. I found it over... More

I arrived with 2 other co workers & were seated immediately - which was good for a Sunday night - or was it. Considering there was a hockey game in town, we probably lucked out. Right to business - the steak was great. Glad to see the owner ( former NHL'er Ryan Smyth ) utilizes Alberta's other natural resource -... More

This was our first visit for dinner (I was there for lunch once before) and we were pleased with the whole experience: great food and superb service. The steaks were so tender and cooked to our liking. Be aware, the sides are huge and one order will easily serve two people.

I went to Lux for my 21st birthday (which fell on a Monday). It was a great experience, the waitress wished me a happy birthday multiple times and made me feel so special. The food is SO good, I had the 8 ounce new york steak, and I would highly recommend it. They even gave me a complimentary slice of... More

Description
A Rare Steakhouse... Well Done. Century Hospitality Group has raised the steaks with LUX Steakhouse + Bar. Located in the heart of Edmonton's downtown financial district, diners at this upscale urban steakhouse enjoy a hip, refined design and a menu that would do any traditional steakhouse proud. The atmosphere is pure modern day elegance with its vibrant colours, rich fabrics, darkly stained woods and crisp solid ceilings - voted one of Edmonton's Best Designed Rooms. Much like one of Edmonton's favourites, retired Oiler Ryan Smyth, who's an owner at LUX, the kitchen team brings his work ethic and their passion for excellence each and every night. Whether it's the 'Lap of LUXury', the over sized Heritage Angus Beef Tomahawk Ribeye or any one of the select cuts, they seldom disappoint.
