Only in town at the Kensington Riverside Inn for the night before driving to the mountains the next morning, we walked around the block after dinner and came upon the Oolong Tea House. Kind of a small, funky, artist dive harkening back to the hippy era. Maybe that's why we thought it was such a cool place. We are just... More

First off, I love local tea and coffee shops. This place was so cool! It combined the "choose your own adventure" of David's tea with a sit-down coffee shop. Complete with baked goods, board games, and local art. It's real cozy in there with not lots of room to move between tables, but I would argue that that is one... More

Oolong offers a large selection of teas and an assortment of bites and nibbles. Everything is decent enough, although I wouldn't say any of their food makes me want to return for another taste. The staff is always quite friendly. During the day, it's easy to spend an hour or two reading and doing work, but the evenings usually get... More

Came to this little tea shop for a lunch with friends. They have a large selection of teas, with different "class levels" and a glass showcase for the lunch and treats. The pots of tea are made in a bodum. The last cup of my tea was incredibly bitter. I asked for a piece of carrot cake. The cake itself... More

As I said in the title, this business has a fantastic tea selection. But my favorite is still the classic Irish Breakfast & I had that the last time I was there. The staff are very friendly and helpful & the prices are beyond reasonable. Will definitely be going back the next time I am in Calgary.

My wife decided to go shopping when we wandered from downtown Calgary over the bridge into Kensington and I stumbled across the Oolong Tea Shop. It's a great experience. I got a tour of the great tea selection and an explanation of the different teas available. Finally deciding on my selection, it was made up into a teabag and I... More

If you're in Calgary and appreciate great tea, this place should be high on your list of places to visit. Just on the outskirts of downtown in the neighbourhood of Kensington it's an oasis in a desert of coffee shops. The service was great, the selection of teas available was fabulous and the atmosphere was really relaxing and they make... More

A good selection of teas--a smaller selection of baked goods. A good place to stop for a break. Reasonably priced.
