Been going here for years. The spaghetti & meat sauce is flavourful and made by hand onsite. Veal parmesan, salmon, steak & shrimp are consistently a good value.

We walked in around 6 pm on a week night and thought we entered a time warp to 1970. There was nobody else in the place when we entered, and other than pick ups, nobody else came in to dine during our visit. The waitress and kitchen were very busy with pick up and take outs. Nothing fancy here, the... More

Sunday, buy ANY beverage, and get ANY pizza 50% off. Catch is, it's 75¢ extra per slice for any slices you take home. Inner Voice said, "try the ribs!" So I did. Full rack of ribs, salad, garlic toast, beautifully baked potato, generous helping of veggies, cooked, but still with a nice bit of crunch. Ribs came with a half-dozen... More

Service and food r top-notch. Great family-run, friendly neighborhood establishment. They make it right. Quality food and healthy, more-than-enough portions. Pizza and pasta and salads r faithful, trusted tried and true standbys. Great family restaurant tucked in the Ranchlands neighborhood. Save room for leftovers the next day.

Al's doesn't look much from the outside, and even when you sit down, you might think this will be an average, run of the mill meal experience. But you'd be wrong! Al's food is fantastic!! The pizza crust is unbelievably light and crispy. The Caesar dressing is homemade, the best I've ever tasted and their pasta dishes are delicious. Also... More

Stopped in at Al's during a visit with friends in Calgary. We ordered a vegetarian and all meat pizza. The generous toppings were fresh and flavourful. The crust got a bit big soggy after a while but otherwise was wonderful. Will definitely be back.

Great pizza and reasonable prices. We order take-out and eat in. They make a pretty great ceasar salad too. Their pizzas have a nice deep crust and we always ask for them well done so you get a nice crunch. They don't skimp on the toppings either. Good service. The dining area is kind of like going back into the... More

Was tired of typical take out pizza. Wanted to try a real pizza. The crust was very soggy and the toppings all slid off. The wings weren't bad for flavour but greasy and undercooked.

I grew up in ranch lands and hadn't tried Al's until I was in my 20s. I am sold! It is by far the best pizza around. Keep in mind the style is that of a 90s pizzeria and doesn't exactly serve thin crust artisan pizza, which seems to be all the rage right now. With that said when it... More

The food here is amazing with a very well laid out menu which seems to be suitable for anyone's taste. There are very good vegetarian items (pizza and pasta) which is a bonus. Pizza crust is soft and tasty, pizza is on the thicker side. Pasta is very creamy and tasty. Highly recommend
