Raj Palace Restaurant on 6th Ave. is the only restaurant in Calgary downtown core where one can find authentic south Indian cuisine. In addition to the standard South Indian vegetarian fare like dosa, idli, pongal etc, they also offer Chettinad style meat and sea food dishes. The place is slightly cramped and service is slow unless you opt for their... More

Service was good, our server gave us a good recommendation on the "Chef's special" appetizer. The Paneer tikka was very good as well. The restaurant atmosphere was good. Overall this was a very pleasant dinning experience. We will be back.

we needed a change from the bland fast food we were having for 4 days, heard about this place and visited for lunch. ambience is good, service is good and the food is delicious, esp the veg dishes. prices are on the higher side compared to the general indian restts, but the quality compensates. would i go back there again?... I visited this place around last September when after about 7-8 days of going without Indian Food. I was on a short business trip and had not eaten anything indian/punjabi food. My boss had suggest this so didnt wait for anything. Place was a bit small but that wasnt a problem. I ordered for garlic nan and chilly paneer. Also... More

We ate there this evening and had the appetizer platter - great flavours. We also had the Masala Dosa and the Onion Dosa - authentic south Indian. The masala fish curry was spicy, tender and melted in with the garlic nan.

This is for the South East restaurant in Midnapore, small and quaint with excellent East Indian food and well worth a try if you like this sort of cuisine. Try the Butter Chicken :)

My visit to this downtown restrurant was a bad one. I ordered an item which had crispy written on the menu. When it arrived on my table it was soggy. The waiter acknowledged it was soggy and told me that's how it is. Although very disappointed I was hungry so I ate. The waiter never made any attempt to change... More

We went to this place recently and ordered for several dosas. Guess South Indian Dosa. Guess what - the Masala Dosa came with no Masala ! The chef then got us Masala on the side. Next on line was the chutney - that had hair in it... ugh... and to top it all when we asked for the dessert, they... More
