Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I made a reservation days ahead only to sit right in the middle of the restaurant despite the „cosy“ area was empty. Some family members were not happy with their meals. Below expectation. I think this place is overrated and does not hold what it...promises. Too expensive for average food!More

The setting was amazing, the service was nothing short of appalling. The waitresses were generally incredibly rude and interested, and the service was sloppy. Everything from the wine service was dreadful (the waitress looked like she'd never opened a bottle of wine before.) Our mains...were delivered and dumped on the table when we were still eating our starters. To finish it off, when a restaurant says they close at 8.30, you generally assume that if you are still eating (and are spending a significant amount of money) you will not be rushed out. Wrong!! The lights were turned off, and the waitresses were tapping their foot by the door before we'd finished desert. For the price of food the service is atrocious. This completely ruins the beautiful setting and what would have otherwise been a really lovely meal.More

Great food, lovely atmosphere on a cold winters evening. Staff were very friendly & accommodating to the youngsters in our family group.

Wow, the best food we had on our entire trip. I wish we were closer to this restaurant. The food was marvelous and I seldom use that word. Waiters did great job for our group of 31. Just a great evening and meal.

My family and I loved this restaurant. The atmosphere is whimsical and authentic. The old train station windows are gorgeous and the historical items around the building are fascinating. The food was stellar. My husband and I had the Table d’hôte menu and loved every...morsel. My son had the bison lasagna and was extremely satisfied. This was a perfect meal for our Thanksgiving mountain weekend. We were enjoying ourselves so much we almost forgot to take pictures. Thank you!More

Really cool atmosphere in the old rail station. Beautiful interior, great windows, nice bar, real wood fireplace. Interesting memorabilia throughout. Even better was the staff and the food. Genuinely personable, helpful, upbeat - excellent service. We shared the generous portion of bison lasagna. Perfect blend...of flavors had my taste buds singing. The warm homemade bread and herbed butter was delectable. Would’ve gone back for lunch today but unfortunately they’re closed Monday.More

We were here with two couples and had a lovely dinner. The food was good, the service was adequate. We're from NY so unless the drinks hit the table before we order them, service is slow. That being said, this service was pretty slow. The...wait staff was lovely but we are used to a different pace. As stated, the food was good (to very good) but nothing great and the menu was a bit limited. However, there are really pretty few choices of restaurants in Lake Louise so not much to choose from. But if you are in town, this is definitely a place to check out. The ambiance is lovely.More

Loved this place! We made a reservation for dinner (just email them for it) and had a table in the main room, which is the old train station waiting area. The ambiance is super cool - at one point the Rocky Mountaineer train was going...right by and it was so close to the restaurant! The food was great too. Would definitely recommend it to others.More

Lovely ambiance, but a bit noisy given the location and decor. It is an old rail station that is now a restaurant. The food choice was exquisite and well prepared. The wait staff was attentive and helpful. Make a reservation, too popular to just walk...in for table service (their sign even says so). Very classy dishes (and price) but down home for clothing and art work is regional and well curated.More

We dined in the vintage railway car which was pretty cool. Prix fix menu. I had the mushroom pastry and the duck. My husband had the bison and the capers e salad. Everything was beautifully presented and tasted good but the temperature was lukewarm. Excellent...cheese plate for dessert. Service was good and the chef took us on a tour of the kitchen, which had the same layout as historical times. All in all a nice meal.More

We made a reservation before we left the UK as Lake Louise doesn’t have many restaurants and not many take a reservation. The restaurant is located at the end of a short road following the Bow River in the old Lake Louise station house. It...is a very grand building with high ceilings and lots of space for diners. The tables are very well spaced out. For our starters, we shared a good sized portion of coconut shrimp. For the mains, my hubby had the pork schnitzel and I had the bison lasagne. Again, the portion sizes were generous and hot. Both meals were delicious. There are lots of tables in areas you can't see so how busy it was, I don't know. The central section where we were located was busy though and the service was good. Not the cheapest place to eat in Lake Louise, but you get what you pay for. We had 3 nights and 3 places to eat and this was the most formal of the 3. The service was very good, the food and food choices were excellent and I would recommend eating here. Total bill with tips $137, £84More

I was there during ski season, and we did make reservations. I have also been in Lake Louise during the summer, and it is much more crowded. Therefore, I would recommend making reservations.
