We had tea and scones and it was awful. It was welcome break since we had no snacks with us on the hike and we were starving, but it was ridiculously overpriced and it would have been fine if it at least tasted good. There is barely any room to even sit and enjoy anything . It's really not a nice... More

This is an excellent break point during a strenuous hike. We were hiking with a toddler who we took turns carrying, which made the hike strenuous for us. (Otherwise, its a relatively easy hike). The Lake Agnes Teahouse provided us a wonderful break point. The teas and cookies are excellent.

The tea house is a hidden gem. a very picturesque hut next to the beautiful lake Agnes. Very traditional outside and inside but a lovely warm atmosphere especially when it's a little cold outside. there range of teas and food is great considering its half way up a mountain. The staff who work there are so friendly and welcoming. There... More

Pretty cabin on the side of an incredibly picturesque lake - a nice place to stop at the end of a beautiful hike, but food was not good and service was laughable. Better to bring a picnic and just take a photo of the place.

At 9 am on Wed., 21 Sept., we started the 2.2 mile moderately steep, 1,330’ gain, hike from the trailhead on the Lake Louise shore walk 600’ from the Fairmont Chateau. At 10:30am we arrived at the tea house right near the shore of very pretty Lake Agnes. Restrooms were just up the path. Being early we were able to... More

It is a nice hike and worth the time, however the teahouse is closed. We ran into many of these seasonal closures as we toured Banff and Lake Louise in late October. It seems that this is the shoulder season when many things undergo their seasonal upkeep or are closed for the winter season. We ran into closures at Johnston... More

This is the end point to a moderate hike with scattered views starting from the Chateau Lake Louise. Trail is very smooth and can be very crowded. Take off early. If you try to do the hike on a weekend, traffic will be mostly unbearable if you arrive after 9:00. Even during mid week, come before 10:00 if you want... More

We started off this hike thinking it was going to be easy and half way up we were out of breath. When we arrived it was an awesome experience for us. The tea house only accepts cash and the food and drinks are somewhat expensive, but at that point you're willing to pay anything. The food and drinks themselves are... More

Description
"Its a seasonal teahouse (like the Plane of 6 glaciers teahouse, which is listed on TripAdvisor), located on Lake Agnes in the Lake Louise area. A 2.5 mile hike brings you to this amazing little historic hut, perched on the rim of a cliff and looking over a lake to The Beehive and mountains beyond. So incredible to stumble across. Whats wonderful is that they have over 100 kinds of teas, good sandwiches and soups, and quite a selection of baked goods (gluten-free included!)".
