We were greeted by our hostess and waitress, the smiling and very affable Maria, and we were lucky to arrive just prior to the lunchtime rush. We both had the soup of the day she recommended, which was excellent. A great place for a reasonably price meal, the other food being served, looked equally appetising, and coupled with Maria's excellent genial service, we would highly recommend Bill Paytos.

I do not care that I ate here like 2 days in a row. This place is amazing. The first time around, I ordered a chicken sandwich (offered to "make it angry", with habanero jack and jalapenos) and it was damn good. The next memorable meal was the fettucine alfredo, which was also good. My mom ordered butter chicken and naan, however since they'd run out of an ingredient, they specially made it for her by splitting it into triangles and decorating the plate. Amazing service.

Just arrived at lake Louise and wanted somewhere to eat,we were staying at post hotel & spa (5🌟) and the receptionist recommended here.
I had chicken Slovakia and hubby had chicken stir fry. Both agreed they were both very tasty. With the Slovakia, there was a lot of bread served, also, the hummus & tzatziki (which were delicious) were served in small plastic pots. I feel this made the dish look cheap. If they were served in small pottery dishes this would look a lot more refined AND help the environment.
I had a glass of wine and hubby had a pint of beer. Our total came $71.10 excluding gratuity. In my opinion, well worth it. Staff were extremely busy but always polite and helpful.

Had breakfast and dinner here. They ran out of coffee so we had to wait for them to get more. They made up for this by reducing coffee and juice from the bill (without us requesting this). Both breakfast and dinner were good. The staff were very friendly. I just don’t get why they make people queue while there are several empty spaces used for customers handbags. They could have split tables for 4 to fit more customers.

After sharing a salad starter, I had fish and chips and DH had a chicken burger -- all quite good. Service was efficient, and given how busy the place was, we can't fault it. We both enjoyed all of the food, and the value for money was spot on -- better than most restaurants in pricey Lake Louise. You may have to wait a bit for a table so get there early or be prepared to wait a bit. I would say they have the fairest prices in town, and portion sizes are good.

Very intimate setting (not a lot of open space so be prepared to wait). The food and portions were AWESOME. Plenty of variety from local favorites to burgers and fries. The wait staff was friendly and very helpful, even on meal selection and making you feel welcome. The interior is a hunting lodge theme with plenty of well curated art, local equipment displays and animal pictures. The food was quickly delivered, tasted great and a generous portion. It is on our list to visit during our next time.

We stopped at Bill Peyto's for an early dinner. When the dinner menu didn't start until 4pm, we decided we were tired of burgers and ordered beer and fries and lounged for 45 minutes so we could order dinner. Hubby's chicken Alfredo was the best he ever had. My mac and cheese was baked in its own casserile dish with a delicious crust on top. And our "appetizer" fries,were fresh cut and delicous with our beers. Our server was busy with the whole room but was very attentive and personable. The registrar at our hotel recommended this place for good food where the locals go and he didn't steer us wrong.

The restaurant was inside the hostel we stayed at. They're pretty strict about not seating people until your full party is there, which makes sense considering how busy they are. Seemed like they ran out of food many nights so late comers were out of luck. With not a lot of options in Lake Louise, you figure they could serve very average fare and get away with it. But the food was surprisingly good. Service was harried but efficient. They are definitely working hard!

This is one of those places where the waitstaff is more interested in hanging out together back near the kitchen, and is only waiting on you because that’s what they have to do. The hamburger, on a typical cheap white bun, is cooked to death. The sauce is mostly tasteless. The salad is basic and the dressing unremarkable. What a disappointing place.

There are surprisingly few reasonable options for dinner in Lake Louise but this is one of them if you can stand the wait for a table at a restaurant that doesn’t take reservations. In fact it was a little frustrating that with maybe one or two more staff the restaurant could have ‘processed’ the queue much faster. There were several tables either empty or waiting to be cleared which would probably have meant that our wait would have only been a few minutes rather then 30.
But the wait was worth it for the food although relatively simple was delicious and the service very friendly.

We were working on a project next door and we were looking for a place to eat where we would not leave our wallets behind. Bill Peyto's Cafe came highly recommend. We ordered the fish and chips and the homemade chili. Both delicious! The check with drinks was around $60. In comparison, my co-worker had gone out for lunch and he has paid $60 alone for Chicken wings, a salad and a drink. He felt totally ripped off! Lake Louise is expensive... Come to Bill Peyto's and you will leave happy every time! Food and service were amazing!

I ordered the Veggie burger which is their Garden burger with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle and mayo. I requested gluten free bun and they obliged. I made it angry with jalapeño, pepperjack cheese and chipotle mayo for additional $2. The building where the restaurant is located has bathrooms on a. lower floor. A member of our party could not do stairs and they allowed her to use a. bathroom on the first floor reserved for the staff. The wait staff also guided us about where to go and what to do next with our travels. Very nice people and fun place to eat.

This restaurant was a great find for a family dinner. Price was reasonable, food was great & beer was delightful. Our server Austin was fantastic recommending the pouting which was delicious & the homemade apple pie gets two thumbs up!!

Love the food! Keep going back. Great for all - hikers, tourists, locals… order anything on the menu and it’s tasty, hot, amazing and not overpriced considering the location. Atmosphere is very international. Keep up the good work. It’s located right by HI Lake Louise hotel. I read the poor reviews dated just as restaurants reopened after Covid. Not fair! Really great place!

Delicious! We had poutine, chili, sweet potato fries and the soup of the day (mushroom). Friendly service as usual too. We always make a point of stopping here when passing through. Highly recommend this restaurant!
