A historic tavern, very renowned in the area also for its fantastic location on the historic square of the village next to the Church. I could not appreciate other views of the village of Roccaverano and the surrounding hills, given the thick fog or low clouds, which enveloped the Alta Langa that afternoon. Good and friendly welcome from the staff but, despite the Reservation, I did not have a table in the upstairs restaurant room, but in the local bar. They were obviously not needed outside given the bad weather. Excellent dishes, which confirm the fame of the Osteria, service with only one flaw to the delivery of coffee, arrived cold and digestive. Ordered the gnocchi with Roccaverano PDO and the rabbit in a saucepan, really good, all accompanied by a good glass of Nebbiolo. With coffee and digestive I spent 36,60 €.

The square where the tavern is located is a small jewel. The church of 500 dedicated to Santa Maria Annunziata is worth a visit, in discretion. The tavern offers Piedmontese dishes with particular attention to local specialties. We had two first courses, good tajarin, and two second courses, roast veal all'arneis with side dish, good. Coffee mineral water and bottle of Chardonnay at zero km. Worth the trip especially if you have an open car. Like the 500 first edition

An absolute must for anyone, even remotely in the area of Roccaverano. Simonè and his team go above-and-beyond for an unforgettable experience, whether it’s just a quick coffee and dessert, or their full dining menu (hmmm… that veal… and pasta… and, and, and…). The area is well known for their cheese too, and along with Simonè’s exceptional wine list, you’re in for a superb treat. Never mind that this is all set in a charming village, nestled atop the picturesque hills of Piedmont.

Went several times with the family I have always considered the trip worthwhile (Roccaverano is not really convenient to reach) especially for the quality of the dishes offered and for the kindness and courtesy of the staff. However this last occasion... September 29... was really a disappointment. I state that despite the sun outside the air was rather cool, however the alternative was (not communicated during Reservation) a small table for 3 people, including an 8-year-old .. and patience. We order the appetizers and despite it being 1.30pm most of these were already finished. Ok... we order 3 mixed appetizers my wife and I while for my son a saucer of 4 slices of salami. We raw meat and veal tuna distant relative of the famous one eaten in the past. Let's order the first. I have mushroom tajarin and my wife Robiola dumplings. While my son a very ordinary plate of butter dough. Good but normal. Portions drastically dropped, but so it is... To finish a taste of cheese (5 pieces). No dessert... only 1 coffee. Considered half a liter of wine the bill is 95 euros. That is, they considered the 4 slices of salami and the saucer of pasta in white as tajarin and gnocchi. And moreover for the entire lunch to ask for everything... salt... pepper... breadsticks... the place was crowded ok but a minimum of attention to the customer would not hurt. Instead apart from a very nice young girl the remaining staff very grumpy and annoyed even if repeatedly asked. And to finish at the checkout a not at all nice attendant indeed... very caucus, started to say 3 tasting menus while on the phone with the kitchen. And I don't. 2 tastings and 3 appetizers... and I NO. The beauty is that we were right in the next table but she was being gnorri. And he kept talking to his colleague in the kitchen almost like a link to NASA and trying to feed me orders never made .. repeating each time NOO .. with chant. In the end we were able to make her understand what we had actually ordered. 95 euros...of course for such a sum I would have expected much more. It is a shame because until a couple of years ago I would have recommended it from the heart. Now sincerely a trip to Roccaverano for a similar mediocrity, seasoned with superficiality and rudeness of the staff ALSO NO Disappointment. We're not going. A serious place doesn't charge you for a plate of blank pasta - and I pointed this out - like a plate of mushroom tajarin. Regardless of the overall quality very dropped. Period.

Great lunch, very tasty typical appetizers, gnocchi alla robiola and tasty rabbit ravioli, very good traditional Piedmontese desserts. Discreet but attentive and fast service. Restaurant to recommend.

This family owned restaurant is the place to visit for lunch or dinner if in the region. The service is excellent and the service fast and professional. All the homemade food by Giselda and Martina are all are all done to perfection. Simone is the perfect sommelier (a very comprehensive wine list from Piedmont with many of the absolute best wineries) and discrete, pleasant servant. The other staff is likewise extremely observant and dedicated. Osteria del Bramante is a must with indoor and outdoor servings.

The restaurant is located in a small piazza next to the village main church. We were able to obtain a table, but is recommendable to reserve or come early because this place is popular with locals and tourists. We had raviolini del plin (9,00) were delicious and a stuffed rabbit (32,00); portions were adequate and quite good, absolutely homemade. The local famous goat cheese was available for sale (the grocery store was closed) was a plus as we were just having a lunch stop. Afterwards we had a stroll by the remains of the castle walls and climbed up the tower, just a few steps away.

You really want to love this place. In a beautiful little piazza with a pretty church on one side and a massive stone tower on the other. Somehow, the meal did not live up to expectations. The asparagus flan was awesome, but then the pasta with porcini mushrooms was just okay - not a whole lot of flavor. The real disappointment was the pork main dish. It was way dry and overcooked and the strange nut based sauce did nothing for the dryness or the flavor. Service was nothing to write home about. Not sure if it is worth the drive to get here from anywhere for the food, but the views are fantastic.

Great location on the little town square. We did made a reservation to make sure we had a table for four (in English - as we do not speak Italian) Great lunch!! Delicious! Great service! We should have asked for some basic pasta for the kids... . The gnocchi for our kids was the safest choice from the menu, they ate it, but they didn't like it that much!

Osteria del Bramante is a sublime restaurant in the charming village of Roccaverano. Not only is the food authentic but its matched with excellent and friendly English-speaking staff and service. In addition to a well stocked shop with a large selection of local wine, olive oil and grappa. Simone and his family are to be commended

We cycled to the restaurant and arrived in the square pleased to stop. We have eaten here preCivid and service was inside and upstairs. Very pleased today there were tableaux up in the square and we were offered a choice of tables. Fortunate as soon all the tables seem to have been taken. We had the menu and everything was good. Extensive local wine list but we restricted ourselves to a glass as we had to cycle away. Service friendly if sometimes feeling a little slow. Still with a four course menu time was needed. Wide range of clientele from workers, walkers and cyclists to those having the full works.

We arrived early and had a choice of tables on a hat September lunch time. Very friendly service from the young and capable server. Lots of choice on the menu and we decided to have the four course option. We have good appetites which were needed! Pages of wine choices, all tastes catered for. The food was good as was the wine. Very relaxed and popular restaurant. We look forward to returning again.

We had a fantastic diner last Friday. Lovely spot on the town square; appetizers were amazing, gnocchi and pasta were sublime, then the meat came: divine! Desert was spoton again. The way up was a treat already with great view over Piemonte. In case you’re nearby: visit this place!

We found surprising flavors in a small village. The ravioli with rabbit was incredible. The tiramisu we had on top was better than any tiramisu in Italy.
