Good service and friendly. Food is overall good but Eye fillet was burned and over cooked although asked to cook medium. Lamp cutlets were also burned and overcooked.

Over an hour for a pizza. The chips never came. A 10 minute wait at the bar to order drinks. No table service to clean the table afterwards. If you’re looking diabolical service in the Hills District, then look no further than The Fiddler. The...pizza when it eventually came, was okay. When we spoke to the staff, they said they were really busy <roll eyes>. Go elsewhere. Not worth itMore

Security at the front door were lovely Bar tenders and staff were awesome Made every drink right in front of me as I asked The security inside on the other were disgusting..my friend had 2 drinks and cut him off all because we were dancing...and trying to enjoy our night as it was my girls 19th The security in the pokie room on Saturday night..was a bigger build with glasses...was rude...I was appalled by his attitude and the way he spoke to everyone in there Would not recommend fiddler simply because of the guards..you can’t even dance and enjoy your time without them either cutting you off or kicking you out Quite disappointed..please have a big word to your security as they are super rude and turned us all off from this place.. And please open up a space for smokers where we can take our drinks with us as it’s not safe these days to leave your drink anywhere or unattended..More

What a disappointing visit this was. Booked a table online, confirmed and called up on the day to push out by half an hour. No issues. Arrive to be greeted by two hosts at the front gate only to be told table given away to...other guests but plenty of tables out the back. I asked what the point of a reservation was: I got a blank look. I said ‘ok, where is that?’ As I haven’t visited before - I was pointed into some direction. Filthy tables everywhere, no menus, had to ask for them, where to order as well. Clearly not following COVID practices, didn’t see a single spray bottle cleaning a table in the entire 3 hours we were there. Oh and as we are eating a staff member dumps a ‘reserved’ sign on the table with the evenings booking - wait until your customers leave from lunch! Food was good, I can’t fault that. Pathetic service - just a bunch of teenagers with no direction set down by management sadly. We won’t be back.More

My partner and I had dinner on Friday night. The steak sandwich was basically inedible, meat was tough and chewy I would give it a 3/10.. My partner had the chicken which was dry and he had a hair in his mouth after eating the...salad, give it a 5/10. Been many times but disappointing this time. Pick up your game Fiddler!More

There have been some changes here and for the better! Our kids love the new playground, a winner! We had steak sandwiches, fish and chips and our friends had bruschetta and pork knuckle. Everything came out looking and tasting amazing! Pork knuckle is especially. I...didn’t get a chance to order a cocktail today but saw so many and they looked amazingly refreshing. They’ve really improved on these. The one thing that was super convenient scanning the barcode at your table for the menu, ordering online and automatically they know to bring it to our table.I didn’t have to get up and try and order with kids with me. How easy was that! The Irish pub really is beautiful if you have a chance to have a wander.More

Arrived to attend a birthday party for my sister who had not been out in a very long time so was obviously very important to her. I had arrived in an Uber with 3 of my adult children in an & was admittedly finishing off...the last of an alcoholic drink so headed to a bin in the carpark which is also shared with KFC to throw it out. Whilst doing so a bouncer walks off the balcony of the venue over to to the middle of the carpark telling us we can’t go in. By this time my sister arrives in another Uber with family & is understandably upset. Rather than cause a fuss I decide to call an Uber so not to spoil her birthday any further as by this stage she is in tears & tell her to just go inside with the rest of the family to greet her friends who are waiting inside. Shortly after my children arrive home in a separate Uber as the “Bouncer” clearly not satisfied with ruining my sister’s birthday chases them down in the venue only to tell them they had to leave accusing them of also drinking in the Uber but couldn’t get his story straight saying “saying I saw the whole 3 of you drinking” firstly there was 4 of us in the Uber & there was only 1 drink. So which is it????? 🤔 Neither myself or them were even slightly intoxicated!!!! You have yourself a real star bouncer who lies & changes his story to suit himself! Needless to say you ruined my sister’s birthday with not only disallowing her only sibling to attend but also kicking out the rest of her only maternal family there for absolutely nothing!!!!!! Thanks Fiddler! 👍More

I live locally. I went here twice and so far only have a “neutral” impression. I may come again before I decide I’m going to permanently ban it from my “to-go” restaurant list. The Up Side: The first meal I had (Pork Belly) was good....The courtyard ambient was excellent for a relaxing dinner The Down Side: The second meal (fish and chips) had a bland fish. Staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. I guess the only way you can afford having unfriendly staff is to offer good food!More

Disgusted by the attitude of the security personnel - Whilst trying to leave and waiting for my daughter and her girlfriends my son was aggressively man handled - I am disgusted by the behaviour and lack of respect towards us both. I would hate to...think what my daughter and her friends would have to put up with had I not been there.More

We recently had my mothers wake at The Fiddler. So close to Castlebrook Memorial Gardens, the Fiddler was perfect for the wake and accomodation for guests. The food served at the wake was plentiful and delicious. Staff were very lovely and the set up on...The Verandah was perfect. Accomodation was surprisingly good. Not expensive, clean spacious and plenty of parking.More
