Visited last April 12th afternoon. The place is a mix of all things Frida. The staff is extremely friendly and the service superb. We had classic margaritas with "nopales" and chips as complimentary appetizer, fresh and delicious start for the afternoon. The waiter suggested the "enchiladas potosinas" a staple of San Luis cuisine. Spicy and delicious, more than enough for... More

This is a very interesting place, because of both the location, and the cuisine concept. They have the usuals on mexican food, but also a few not-so-common dishes that are worth trying, like the Escamoles appetizer which is seasoned very tasty and different from other places. However -and it's sad that after giving some thinking to it, I decided it's... More

I liked so much this restaurant, that I returned the next day again! The exterior of the restaurant has the face of Frida Kahlo colored by a mosaic that is simply beautiful. Since you enter the restaurant you get an excellent attention from all personnel, they greet you with a Mexican entre. Their “tamarindo” beverages are exquisite, as well as... More

What a Fridalicious experience! A monomaniacal restaurateur gave the world a virtual Fridaland. He's lucky he hooked up with an amazing chef or he would have just come off as obsessed. Shame on me for failing to take note of the menu item I had. It was an arrachera set on a pineapple and surrounded by banana chips swimming in... More

The restaurant is really colorful and with a strong Mexican decor. As it's name suggests, there are photos of Frida Kalo. The food is good. I love the Ventilla pepper. A red pepper filled with cheese and a sauce made with condensed milk. Sounds weird, but tastes great! They also have nice margaritas

Excellent restaurant always crowded, make reservations ahead of time, huge menu with Mexican food, decoration is different and colorful, they have a small place for kids to draw.

Came with family. Hostess lied to us saying our table would be ready in 15 minutes even having reserved. Waited for over an hour. Manager lied to my face saying we haven't checked in and that our reservation info was bogus. Will not return and do not recomend. What a way to ruin a family's afternoon. Incompetent is very shorthanded... More

The place is amazing. The food really gives you the whole mexican vibe. Moreover, there is a big variety of drinks with very reasonable prices. I would suggest everyone visiting San Luis to drop by this place.

This place has such a strong Mexican identity. Each wall is decorated differently. I felt like I am in a museum. The food was tasty. The place is always packed, so it takes time to serve the food, but it worth to wait. In meanwhile take photos of the walls!

Service is good, I've been there 3 times and everytime has been great. Chile Ventilla dish is a very cool recipe. You can go only for drinking or for a entire meal and dinner. Decoration is great.. maybe too much for some people, but is Frida's style. Price is average but taste is great. Only one oportunity area: the dish... More
