We stopped at this restaurant initially because we wanted to hear some live music and they had a saxophonist playing with a recording background. He was OK, not great, but what the heck. My wife ordered the Chicken poblano, which is a leg and thigh in Mole sauce, and she really enjoyed her dish. I had a spinach salad and... More

The service was a bit slow but the food was good. My husband had the tortilla soup and I had the mushroom soup. Both were good but we've had better at other Ixtapa restaurants. For our entrees we both ordered Gringas (pork tacos) which were really good. You can't beat the price either. There was a saxophonist playing great music... More

We always have a great time at La Malinche. The food is just delicious and the margaritas are the best in town! The seafood and the Mexican platter are so tasty as well as the homemade salsas!

While the service was a tad slow, the food was amazing and they had a great family band playing that made the atmosphere lovely. I had the tortilla soup and surf & turf tacos (which was so delicious), the other meals at the table were equally delicious. Would go back for the food and atmosphere.

We tried this spot in the plaza this evening. The service was slow, they forgot our drink order and when the plates finally arrived mine was luke warm. My wife enjoyed her chicken dish and mine would have been better hot. The restaurant was not busy so backlog wouldn't be the problem -- disinterest most likely. There are a number... More

We both loved our meals at La Malinche and feel that the 4* rating here is unfair. Our four friends who joined us for the first meal were equally impressed, one of them commenting that it was his best meal in Ixtapa (after 6 nights of dining out). I wish that we discovered La Malinche sooner so that we could have... More

After reading mix reviews on the location my family and I took a gamble and settle for this restaurant. All I can say is that the music is good and that's the only thing. Staffs are not attentive and very slow with only few tables on a Sunday night. We order ceviche, guacamole, camaron con calamar al mojo de ajo,... More

For a first timer this is a fun place with nightly entertainment. We have been going for years, and are greeted by long time employees.New location is an improvement. However after the last three times while the food was ok ,the margaritas were lacking something, like tequila.Wanted to like it like I used to, however even with 2/1 margaritas that... More

This is one of our favorite restaurants. Gabby is the best owner I know. She is always visiting the tables to make sure everything is great. The food is amazing every time we go. We were lured in. My gf really needed to pee so I felt bad for the guy showing me the menu, I was walked in. I wasn't given the menu, I had to ask for it. We ordered queso fundido with chorizo which wasn't great and two margaritas, which were watered down. The seafood burrito was good but her milanesa... More
