We wandered in because it looked small and quiet and were then blown away by the delicious fusion meals we were fed. Based on the best of the market each day this simple restaurant has a small daily menu that over the course of our stay always delighted us. Cooked to perfection and served with good grace every bite was... More

Just had dinner in los caracoles. We have had breakfast here on numerous occasions, which are delicious( the hot cakes are really good!), but dinner tonight was sublime. It's a small menu, but perfectly formed, 2 starters, 3 mains and a complementary dessert. We shared a mixed salad, delicious, with a light dressing and plenty of avocado and mango, then... More

This was our first time to Caracoles after hearing many people recommend it and we are very glad we went. This was our best meal in a 5 week stay. The have a fresh menu every night with a choice of 3 mains. We had the sweet and sour prawns and the tuna and both were excellent. The service and... More

This restaurant is a delightful anomaly; a traditional Mexican ranch-house setting, in a shaded lane just off of Playa Marinero, run by two very simpatico Mixe Indians and serving up arguably the most interesting food in Puerto Escondido. The dinner menu - listed on a small 'whiteboard -' is short and simple but that is where simple ends. Dishes are... More

We were able to enjoy five dinners here during our stay. What a find. They are located across from Hotel Flor de Maria. The food and service are unbelievable. The place is staffed by two brothers, Francisco and Eduardo Garcia Delgado. Both are graduates of culinary school in Puebla. They have been in this location for nine years. So, if... More

This is a very small restaurant with good service and amazing food. We were in Puerto for six nights and had dinner here five times. Each night the menu has three entrees, a salad and a soup. The brothers who own the restaurant have a real passion for food. The food was beautifully presented and was always delicious. I can... More

Hard to get reservations, but worth it. Lovely evening. There are 3 different meals each evening. No menu. The shrimps were delightul. Sadly the pork was leather tough although presented with a delicious sauce. complementary dessert was tart yet sweet counter to the meal. Yum Service was polished and not clingy.

We've eaten at Los Caracoles many times over the years. The food is consistently fresh, seafood right from the sea and always fresh vegetables. I've had their pasta with fresh, plump shrimp and I recommend it. Their salads are creative and beautiful to look at, even tastier to eat. Usually they offer a free dessert. You won't be disappointed here.... More

I never would have found this without our friends at Liza's bar but it was such a treat! Every course was outstanding the fish was moist and delicious with a mustard seed glaze that was out of this world!

We have been coming here for years and when we want to take newcomers out for dinner, this is the place. Indeed, as other reviews state, it is a small place with 2 guys running it with limited seating. Do not expect McDonalds service. Do expect a limited menu that changes daily, excellent food presented with style, friendly service at... More
