Visiting Cornwall at the weekend and ate here for Sunday lunch. Lovely cosy pub with efficient and friendly staff. Overall we enjoyed our meals here and would recommend, however, my husband ordered the home made steak burger and asked for it to be well done, but it still arrived rare, fine if you like your steaks underdone but he doesnt... Visited this evening after a local resident remarked how good the food was; we booked at short notice and were accommodated. We arrived and were made to feel very welcome by the staff who were fiendly and quick to set us at a comfortable table. I would describe the venue as a gastro-pub with a fresh clean feel while traditional... More

We travelled the few miles from herodsfoot to the Plough Inn to have Sunday lunch. The staff were very friendly and showed us to our table. The menu was not too long and there was also a specials board. I had roast sirloin of beef with redwine gravy and yorkshire pudding it was served with roast potatoes a side dish... More

Went for Sunday lunch and booking was essential but despite being very busy staff were friendly and efficient and looked after us very well. Food was excellent if you want to take on three courses make sure you missed breakfast. Good size portions and very well cooked and great presentation.

We have just returned from a weekend in Cornwall and loved this place so much we visited twice! Lovely atmosphere with the log burner going and beautiful views. On both occasions the ladies that served us were lovely and made a point of chatting to us about the local area. And the food... probably the best fillet steak I have... More

This place is a real gem. Great food and great service. The waiting staff are very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The food is top quality at reasonable prices. The best risotto I have ever had. Well worth a visit.

We are lucky enough to live just a couple of miles away from the Plough and wish we would visit it more often. It is a gem for this part of Cornwall as a decent menu, with excellent ingredients expertly prepared is somewhat of a rarity in these parts. Couple that with a really pleasant pub atmosphere and great service... More

Went for Sunday lunch which was very good. The men, including traditional roasts was interesting and varied. The starters were also good and I recommend the crab and prawn cocktail. Didn't have pudding but these also looked good

Thank Graham T
