I was a kid when I first discover Pouletburg...and I'm still going. It's a mandatory stop when driving south to Ticino. Do not bother to ask the menu, they almost only serve grilled chicken and their world famous sauce. Enjoy!

The best chicken ever! People come from all over Switzerland, and even Italy, just to have chicken here, it's that good.

The best chicken I know in Switzerland, at a very reasonable price. The sauce it is served in, is just out of this world.

When going to Ticino, this is a very good place to stop for good food. The chicken in the basket is a must try. It is a shame that when we first arrived we didn't enter from the main door, so the main waitress was really rude to us and placed us in the worst table, behind on the back,... More

If this restaurant wasn't as nicely situated between Zurich & Ticino, it would definitely have a lot less business. Because: although the chicken is very nice, the ambiente, staff and prices just kind of ruin the experience. Everybody in the room seemed a little irritated by the athmosphere the staff was constantly spreading. Eventhough the restaurant was almost empty, there... More

We are familiar with the restaurant for about 20 years, keep coming for now and than. Last time we had our usual order: two salads, two Poulet Picante, and a bottle of beer to share. Salads are good as had before, the main issue and main reason to visit the restaurant is the wonderful poulet!! What a disappointment!! At the... More

Unpretentious, typical, local restaurant, very famous amid travelers along the freeway connecting Germany to Milan. They are extremely fast, efficient and serve excellent mixed salads and very tasty half-chickens in the basket, on a butter/mustard sauce, accompanied by french fries. Don't ask for more or anything different. This people invented the european "chicken fast food" and are sitting on a... More

Went there last Sunday based on a colleague's recommendation.Long queue but ok as we did not book. It was an extreme busy place, was shocked to see the situation was like a chaotic wet market. The waitress was very rude, rolled her eyes when we asked about the menu (being 1st timer). The tables were so closed to each other... More

We wanted to have a bite to eat and chose the 'Shocking' in Attinghausen. It is a large restaurant where since the 1970's nothing seems to have changed. A very tired looking interior full of gnomes and dolls(?). But if the food is good a retro ambiance doesn't disturb us. We had the signature dish: chicken in a basket. We... More

Food: nice chicken but if you consider the fact that the tinny bit of sauce is mainly made by butter -> no rocket science for me Staff: our waitress was crazy incompetent and unfriendly. We were lucky as her shift ended Ambiente: other guests behave like in mcdonalds or an ikea restaurant. Very old furniture and everything smells like old... More
