Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Loved this cafe and the view from the open air deck to the ocean across the road. Could see the whales. The food was simple and delicious and the turmeric chai was so good. But most of all I loved the service, welcoming and warm...even when there was a big crowd on a public holiday. Highly recommend this place.More

Lovely fresh food in a lovely little cafe with ocean views. This cafe has a retro vibe happening and looks great The fruit salad, coffee and quiche were all delicious. The staff are lovely and friendly. Best cafe on North Stradbroke

Deservedly popular cafe where you can actually whale-watch over breakfast. Plenty of healthy dining options and good coffee served in attractive mugs. Dogs allowed on the grassed area below the pretty front deck. Couldn't go past the smashed avo special, while my wife tucked into...a chia bowl. Took away some sweet treats for later too. Definitely a Room with a View.More

Ok so we sailed into North Stradbroke for a week or so and decided to jump on a bike to search for a much needed coffee! We came across The Blue Room and the first question I always ask a coffee spot is if they...have Oat Milk.. If the answer is no, I kind of feel maybe the coffee isn't gong to be amazing, I don't know why, I just feel this.. so the Blue Room did have oat and I was so excited as I hadn't had a real coffee for a good week, when my coffee came.. OH MY LORD it was the best dirty chai with oat milk I probably ever had.. it was just the right amount creamy, the right amount sweet and the perfect amount coffee!!! I probably wont get back there again due to that its a hike, but I will always be able to rave and recommend this cute little spot with beautiful ocean views to boot!!More

The cutest seaside cafe on the island. Delicious breakfast, ocean views, whales swimming past, friendly service & eclectic decor. The perfect family spot for breakfast & a great menu.

Wow, what a fantastic spot, possible the most fantastic view from any cafe, anywhere in the world. The attempt by the cafe at serving healthy Island style food is great. The staff however were extremely rude and made not attempt to accomodate us while there...were tables available and no other parties waiting. We were given an abrupt brush off from the waitress with the dark curly hair and American/Canadian accent, and not the first time we have experienced this particular waitress and her sad attempts at service. What a shame, we will not be recommending this place to any of our friends anymore. As a longtime visitor and former resident of the island, it is terribly sad to see the lack of happiness in this particular staff member. Bad end to a wonderful few days on the island. #paradisesyndromeMore

The place is rustic and the felt as though they were not ready for customers. We were moved from our table and had to share a large one with strangers. Some of the young staff (as in other cafes) had questionable hygiene. The place felt...a little like a "drug" den and you just had to accept the table & chair arrangement or go somewhere else. Really disrespectful to travellers and their comfort. Lots of foreigners there. They have a prime position with a small glimpse of the Pacific Ocean. Food & coffee great but way over priced for the facilities, only value if it was tidied up with white table cloths. The French cafes do casualy dining with table cloths (paper on top & changed with each new service) and cheaper prices.More

Awesome spot for a healthy breakfast or lunch - great homemade slices and salads. We had avo on toast, vego burrito, cauliflower, beetroot and chilli salad, bacon and egg roll and muesli yogurt cup but wished we could have fitted in the caramel slice and...choc brownie tooMore

As per previous comments - it’s changed, for the worse. Used to love this place, now everything is in DISPOSABLE PACKAGING, this is ridiculous. For a sit down coffee and all food to come in cardboard is disgusting. The staff are rude also. Used to...come here all the time when on the island, we will not be back. Such a shame.More
