The legend often exceeds reality and this is the case with Taco Guss. I had a chicken taco and a chorizo burrito to get a decent sampling. The taste was very good with lots of available add ons included. BUT it was really greasy. That...of course made it taste so good but also made it less friendly on the stomach. Would I eat there again? Sure, very tasty. Would I walk two miles just to go there? Probably not. Worth the visit.More

Absolutely awesome tacos on perfectly griddled corn tortillas. The shrimp tacos were excellent but the pork al Pastor was probably the best I’ve ever had anywhere. Ever. Seriously They do seem to want to charge you with their own arbitrary exchange rate. So just pay...in pesos and don’t worry about it. And if you pay in $USD, just don’t give them a tip. (They’re adding about 10% to the stated exchange rate, it seems) It’s still quite inexpensiveMore

Our table of 4 each got 2-3 tacos of different kinds, got 3 specialty margaritas and 2 beers for $68 with all the fixin's to make your own. It felt like a great combination of locals and tourists while we were there and the food/drinks...were great! We'll stop in again I'm sure in the Spring! Taco Guss needs to be on the map on your must stops when you visit! Not hungry? Enjoy a beverage - they were great!More

One star is NOT low enough. This place likes to take advantage of tourists, charging them more than what they ordered. They will either change the exchange rate and add items you never ordered or received to the bill. I enjoyed the food, but it...wasn’t worth the extra $20 they charged. If you do happen to catch them trying to rob you, they will freak out and make a big deal of it, so be careful with this establishment.More

Do NOT be scammed. The waitress brought a bill for 1510 pesos but insisted that it converted to $88 rather than $76. When we politely pointed out that the exchange rate was over 19, she insisted that the restaurant's exchange rate is 17, refused to...give an itemized bill, and had a male employee stand over us until we gave her more money than we had owed the place. Very disgusting behavior, this place makes its money overcharging unwitting people.More

Americans beware. The owner will rip you off if you pay in dollars. And will not take credit cards. We paid $36 for a $30 meal. Too bad. Food and service are good. Many other nearby places that are honest so avoid!!!

We went to the highly recommended Taco Guss. We got the shrimp, al pastor, beef and chorizo tacos. We liked the shrimp and chorizo tacos. The other meats were very bland and dry. We also thought the fixings at Tacos Gardenias was better. I also...think we were on the wrong side of the restaurant. We were on the dirtier side with no kitchen in sight and lacked any sort of restaurant decoration. It was just white concrete walls with picnic tables. When we left, we saw the other side which had the kitchen, better ambiance and more people. So I think the first impression threw us off a bit. Overall it was meh. Glad we tried it but not sure if we would return.More

I love the food from here. Very tasty. Good service as well. Think after party food, or feed your family of 4 for under $25 bucks USD. Hit this place once a month at least.

A local told me about the place. Four tables and an extensive menu. The Tacos al Pastor was DELICIOUS! Highly recommend it!

was in cabo late June and decided to create my own Taco Tour. Gardenia, Tacos Gus, El Gran Pastor. Had Pork, shrimp, fish and Carne in all three places. Hands down for my wife and I, Tacos Guss was the best. We actually thought the...server was a bit rude/disengaged (he acted like we were a nuisance) but the food made up for it. The place is pretty dumpy but the tacos are money!!!!More
