Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I ordered the Tofu Donburi which certainly looked appealing based on the menu description. The tofu was supposed to be in a sticky teriyaki sauce. It was dry and chewy, with no hint of stickiness and the flavour was very poor. The shitake mushrooms were...destroyed by being overcooked, shrivelled up and dry. The rice was dry, and was there supposed to be sesame oil?? I didn't taste anything remotely sesame in this dish. If this was someone's first try of tofu they would be turned off for life. As someone who knows how to cook tofu properly I found this a pathetic attempt. At $26.90 I expected a much higher standard. If you can't cook it properly please remove it from the menu!!!More

Staff are arrogant and rude, and do not promote a friendly, family experience. We left before ordering.

One of many local cafes in my area, Too Hands is great - friendly staff, table layout suits workers with quiet corners + power for laptop users, consistent and hearty food. Service is sometimes a little slow, possibly due to lack of staff rather than...service provision. Those working here will always great you with a smile and love to get to know their regulars.More

Not going to win any awards for ambience and food but fine for a quick bite and a catch-up. Big space, average service and meals. Been a few times because opening hours are longer than elsewhere in the area. Could get rid of those awful...rafters where the pigeons cluster, not a good look.More

We previously visited Two Hands frequently, however, our recent visit left us very disappointed from the moment we stepped inside. We waited at the front counter patiently for a table. Many wait-staff walked past with no acknowledgment of our presence, let alone anyone asking if...we wanted a table. It was so obvious, that the couple in front of us turned around and walked out. Perhaps we should have done the same. A rather surely waitress finally came over and was less than helpful and definitely not friendly. After waiting over 20 mins, I called someone over to take our orders. Another 30 min wait before the food finally appeared; the food was disappointing and well below the standard we’ve previously experienced at Two Hands. Things looked unappealing; the hash browns were dark and over fried. The only saving grace was the coffee; it’s good bit took 30 mins to arrive at our table. Not sure what’s happened, but we will not return.More

Best breakfast in a long time. We were greeted with a friendly waitress who took a drink order straight away. I had mocha which was just right particularly as I had a few ‘tweaks’ which were delivered. The menu for breakfast had a varied selection,...my husband had a big breakfast, but I had something off the all day menu, nasi goreng which is certainly a unique offering for breakfast, but it was just what I felt like eating and was very tasty and fresh. Service was timely, and served with a smile. Cheers!More

Ordered a pumpkin and chicken salad today for $24. The chicken was very fatty and hard to cut/eat. The pieces I could cut were very chewy with no flavour. I mentioned this to the waitress, who said she would pass on. No feedback or offer...to bring us some non fatty chicken, Infact when paying the same waitress asked us if everything was ok. We left very hungry and disappointed. Would not recommend this cafe..More

Having been staying locally and found the hotel to be lacking in breakfast facilities we ventured across the road and found this amazing place. Fresh, friendly, quick and with exquisite coffee, who needs anything else to start the day. I usually started my day with...sourdough toast and jam, my partner usually had a bacon and egg roll. Coffee was always good and always hot. The roll always had loads of bacon and was always hot. My toast was just yummy, a little more butter would have been nice but there was always ample jam. One morning l had the home made granola, there was enough for the whole table, so if hungry go for it otherwise see if they will do a half measure. The staff in this cafe are always on the go, the place is spotless and the cleaning between customers is very obvious. Weekend are always busy, so if you want to try it try booking a table so your not disappointed. During the week an early start is fine, but this brilliant cafe does have a reputation and it is most deserving.More

Staff Friendly, however do not like the fact that Pidgeons are perched on wooden beams above your head and dropping their poo. Watched as two ladies seating dodged a dropping.

My sister and I called in here on our way to John Hunter Hospital to visit our father. We wish we had found it sooner in our trip. Relaxing atmosphere even though it was busy. The staff were smiling and seemed really organised (after a...very average experience down the road at another cafe) it was a pleasure to call in here for a break and we wish we had more time. Thank you.More

Went for lunch with a group of work colleagues. Staff were rather brusque when it came to ensuring all diners were signed in to the NSW Covid app, but can happily forgive them for this (best to be safe etc). Ordered the Reuben sandwich ($17)...- toasted. Be warned - It is nothing like a traditional New York Reuben (I'd love chef to check out a few genuine recipes for context). Overtoasted in a panini press, it was hard and dry, contained mostly (overwhelmingly) pickled cabbage which (while tasty enough) absolutely overwhelmed the small sandwich. I expected a thick layer of shaved warm fresh pastrami (or corned beef even) on lightly toasted rye with Russian dressing, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut and gherkin. Instead it was a sliver of corned beef, loads of pickled cabbage, no trace of the promised cheddar, several slices of gherkin and no dressing (menu said it was meant to have aioli and mustard from memory). It was served with 'corn curls' - another bizarre feature - dry, over cooked corn on the cob cut into thirds lengthwise. No kombucha on tap (as promised on menu), so opted for a soft drink. Picked up a mini pecan tartlet on the way out (very yummy!) - total spend $27. I wanted to like Too Hands but sadly couldn't recommend based on this one lunchtime experience.More
