Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Being there before, the food is ok But there seems to be a problem with customer communication. When arriving there from far away before 11:30am Fri 22 Mar 2024 for a lunch, I found the store closed as the sign on the door said something...like ‘closed due to post-thunderstorm repair going on’. Couldn’t the owner place the same message at their web site? Probably couldn’t bother!More

Had a lovely meal with our Teng family at Chopsticks Delight. The duck was succulent & juicy. Seafood ... yumm & the company delightful.

The food was excellent, the décor functional and dingy, and the service surly from the start (with no provocation); the cashier/waitress seemed to resent our very existence. This woman could give lessons to Basil Fawlty. She managed to turn collecting used crockery into a display...of hostility. Perhaps she was just having a bad day.More

Are you sick of fusion food or a fancy facade with dingy portions? Fear not! You just stumbled upon a genuine Chinese restaurant from the 1980s. I mean that in a good way! When was the last time you had some fried rice and thought...it tasted good on its own? These days, many Chinese restaurants don't cook them hot enough to char the rice for that familiar flavour from the past. To me, fried rice is a test dish to judge a Chinese restaurant. Much the same way, a chicken parma is a test dish for a pub. If they can't cook these staples properly, there isn't much hope for the rest. Their sweet 'n' sour pork was lightly battered and tasted as expected. Their steamed broccoli was slightly overcooked. The first time I visited Chopstick Delight, I nearly didn't go in. They are located in the middle of the residential area surrounded by half-a-dozen shops. But the convenience of easy parking got me in the door. If you want, no-frills, cheap and cheerful, but tasty and traditional Chinese food. Give this place a go.More

This restaurant is tucked away in surburbia but offers a good menu with many choices and is reasonably priced. Each dish was plentiful and arrived at the table nice and hot (which pleases my husband) Service is always good and the number of Asian diners...is always a good sign to me.More

Great family run suburban chinese restaurant. Moderately priced. Plenty of chinese people eat here which is always a good sign. I normally go for black bean beef or chicken ribs.

In a middle of a residential area where it was dark and out of nowhere there was a restaurant which had graffiti on the shopfront , we thought we got the wrong address from our friends recommendation. Was a bit nervous. Was it safe here...? Felt more comfortable once we walked in. Host was friendly . Our friends had preordered the pei pa duck which was well plated up and crispy . Had quite an extensive selection of dishes . We started with steamboat sliced beef and home made fish balls . I thought that this was quite pricey for just a plate of sliced beef . However the other dishes were reasonable and food was authentic Cantonese style cooking . I enjoyed the chicken with Chinese fungus in a herbal soup the best .More

This is probably one of the few surviving local Cantonese-style gems hidden in Mulgrave. There are some non-cantonese dishes with a few needing to be preordered the day before eg mud crabs on glutinous rice. A welcome breather from the newer kids on the block...establishments which now tend to be the same old dishes and dumplings. Quite an extensive menu and will be back to try more dishes.More

We arrived late but we we’re welcomed with friendly smiles and helpful staff. Our order was taken quickly and the entrees arrived as quick. We had the spring rolls. And chicken satay sticks. And shared a fillet steak with Cantonese sauce. I highly recommend this...place and we will be back.More

What a disappointment in recent visits. Used to a family and friends' favourite due to its pleasant service and great food. However, the food and service have been surprising in recent times. Don't bother going if you can't speak Mandarin as you'll be told off...rudely in Mandarin to speak it, and the lady couldn't care less even if you try to point at the menu. Guess if they want to limit their clientele type in an English speaking country... The prices have also increased. During the a recent visit in 2019, the special order peipa duck was dry and stringy instead of its previous amazing texture and taste. Latest visit received really rude service and the authenticity of food has noticeably changed. Not going back in a hurry. Will just go elsewhere instead. Disappointed.More

When food preparation has been mastered for over 2 decades, it shows up in the flavours, preparation and presentation. Chopstick Delight presents authentic cantonese cuisine. The Pipa duck is a triumph and is a 2 day preorder. It is a hidden gem, tucked away in...nowhere land but the food is what you're there for. Service is attentive but the room is dated.More

Chopstick Delight is like your typical Chinese restaurants served by lots of Chinese aunties who will assumed you are also Chinese speaking Asian cause you looked like most Asians, but sadly I can only said "bu ke yi jiang hua yi" or Cannot Speak Chinese...- which kind of contradicting I must say. The place is pretty much like the old style Chinese restaurant from your old Hong Kong movie. No fuss just eat and go. Despite the look, they serve a high quality Chinese food in generous portion and in great value too. My favorite in this place is the CHICKEN RIBS! I always have a soft spot for fried chicken ribs with spicy salt served with rice - and in their lunch menu you can also get to choose on free drink as part of the set. I always opt for the Thai Milk Tea or if not try their soybean if you’re not a soda drinker like myself. For one portion they give you generous amount of ribs - crispy on the outside, moist and flavorful on the inside. Simply my comfort food. I don’t even bother to try anything else apart from that one in this restaurant. My friend and I loves this soo much. We even brought our Indian friend and she loves it so much too. Kind of gives you a little bit satisfaction knowing someone approved your taste. Anyway if you happen to be around, just go in and give the chicken ribs a go. One of a perfect example not to judge the book by it’s cover. Definitely not very instagramable but definitely a must try if you are around the area. a simple looking restaurant both from the inside and the outside, this place is legit! We had gone to try this place out because a local friend had recommended it. What a experience! We had a ordered a variety of signature dishes - soup, snow...crab with noodles, king crab with noodles, abalone, veggies in garlic. Loved it!More

Have only had take-away from this restaurant and the food is very good. However the Restaurant itself is very dingy and uninviting so I wouldn't go there to eat in.
