The atmosphere is casual. Our party had the smoked fish tacos and octopus tacos. Very fresh and quality ingredients. Good prices.

This is a neat little place with a cozy atmosphere. The ginger margarita was terrific and the tuna tostada was exceptional. Service was friendly and top notch. Highly recommend this little gem.

Grab a michelada and some seafood snacks. Crudo, fish tacos, carpaccio...all very tasty! Nice spot for an afternoon siesta.

We drop it at at around 7 pm on a Wednesday night and the bar was completely full, which is usually a good sign, and it was. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The beer was cold and the seafood tortilla was very good at a reasonable cost. I definitely would try it again.

The fun starts when you enter through the swinging doors into what used to be a saloon. There is lots to read on the walls, but since it's all in Spanish, I couldn't understand it all very well. We really loved the food here. In particular, the ceviches and cocktails were excellent choices here. And, like a lot of places... More

We've been in San Miguel for almost a month and we've come here more frequently than any other restaurant. Great service, fabulous drinks, and we love the food! Perhaps most of all we love the value! The prices are fantastic. This place is a gem.

A perennial favorite of the students of the Instituto Habla Hispana. Every Monday, maestro Jorge walks students around different colonies of San Miguel. On his way to El Chorro and the Capilla Santa Cruz, he stops at El Mantanial and describes its historical importance. I haven't been there lately, but there used to be old (original) pictures of the city's... More

We found it by chance. What a great experience! The barman is a very efficient man. He was able to serve a full place, keep our glasses full and order/serve our food all by himself. Food is outstanding. Highly recommend the octopus carpaccio. This is a must visit place in San Miguel.

I have been here several times. It's a tiny place and often standing room only. The staff is great. Inexpensive drinks.

Our table of 3 shared a few plates and had some great, cheap drinks along the way. It's tight, bar atmosphere with some tables and not too loud that you can't talk.
