El Palacio was a good Chinese restaurant in San Miguel with some great dishes. It lost its lease on Mesones about two years ago moved to a new location but then closed again about six months ago.

Great service and yummy food! Lovely outdoor dining a bit far from centro but so worth the walk, or delivered to you! No other Chinese in town compares!

We stumbled across the China Palace by fluke, stayed to eat, and returned for a second visit because we were impressed with the food.....we're from the Vancouver area, which overflows with excellent Chinese restaurants. This little place in the south of Mexico wouldn't be out of place competing in the Vancouver market. The chef apprenticed in Pittsburgh and seems to... More

Palacino Chino is now located at Calzada de La Presa #77 near Calzada de La Luz We loved Chef Juan's stuffed eggplant and the Grand Marnier shrimp with pineapple. The tempura ice cream is another specialty worth every penny. Joyce & Bill

We first went to what is now called the China Palace when it was on Mesones. The restaurant was forced to move from that spot to #77 calzada de la presa. They also deliver. Juan the chef/owner was trained by a Chinese chef in Pittsburg. We started with Hot and Sour Soup and some pot stickers. We then shared Orange... More

The chef, Juan, prepared several specials and all were hot, well-seasoned and presented well. We particularly liked the shrimp with walnuts. NOTE: the restaurant has moved to #77 calzada de la presa; look for the orange doors

Last week, Carole and I had the pleasure of hosting a 90th birthday celebration for our good friend and neighbor, the extraordinary Siobhan Bryne, (creator of taste tantalizing Provecho, on the Ancha, where daughter Joanna is the master chef). To the surprise and delight of the two dozen or so party attendees, we served a variety of Chinese dishes from... More

NOTE: They have moved to #77 Calzada de la Presa. Their phone is still 154-5360. Juan is the chef and his wife Rossy, is the wait staff at this excellent restaurant. We have eaten here (before and after they moved) and have enjoyed freshly prepared egg rolls, eggplant in black bean sauce, and the shrimp special with caramelized walnuts (surprisingly... More

Garbage that only a few old dinosaurs who lost their sense of taste thought was edible. Pre-cooked, and laden with MSG. Location has nothing to do with this restaurant, it is simply horrible. Our group began eating, looked at each other, and no words were necessary, we simply started laughing. We left and went to Mama Mia.

Very generic Chinese food like you would find in an airport food court. The food was mushy, overcooked, and tasted like it had way too much MSG to be healthy. All 4 of us were etremely disappointed in our orders. The new space on Calzada de la Presa doesn't really work as a restaurant. SMA has much better options for... More
