This place is great from start to finish, the cocktails get you started and the food just gets better and better, the Camerone in coco is simply amazing as are all of the deserts.

Not only is the food out of this world but it is also terrific value. You have to go back for 4 or 5 nights to properly sample the breadth of the menu. The decor and ambiance only add to the experience. The best. Try it; you will not be disappointed.

La Providencia is hands down the best of many great restaurants in Zipolite. Paco and Javier have created a warm, welcoming environment and delicious menu. I have always had great experiences here. Don't forget to make reservations.

We had heard about this place, tucked in off a dirtroad in Zipolite. Driving there is not easy, roads get beat up and in the nighttime it get's DARK! The chef has found a style of cooking combining local produce with subtle flavours and reinventions of classic mexican coastal fare. The shrimpdishes are all succulent, butthe cochinita pibil delicious! The... More

My family and I were here for our New Years eve dinner (31st Dec 2015) and we really loved this place! There was no a la carte dinner option, instead there was a special menu due to the date we chose to eat here. But, to be honest i dont think we needed a la carte menu. We were served... More

I went there with my partner and we were both immediately charmed by the decor and friendly welcome we received from Javier (one of the owners). Our waiter Marcello was just as gracious and helpful. We were asked to sit in the "cocktail lounge" while they got our table ready. There, they took our order for drinks and food. The... More

This restaurant offers the most sophisticated menu in the area. Food is expertly prepared and presented. It is very popular so you need reservations but definitely not to be missed. Try the chayote soup.

Wish we had more time to go back again. Interesting walk through the jungle and take your flashlight if your walking back. Great wine and margarita's, excellent choices on the menu. Service is in no hurry but it is a great place to eat and drink.

With friends, with whom we were staying, in Puerto Ángel nearby, we went to La Providencia for dinner. The setting is typical, and very nice for the neighbourhood. How we ever got there is beyond me as its at nearly the end of a mud track, off another mud track, off a road.... But real table cloths and real napkins.... More
