So we were staying at Bluestone and fancied some seafood, I googled restaurants and happened to stumble across the shed. We ordered the muscles, haddock and leek croquettes, calamari and fish soup... all dishes were absolutely beautiful, the fish soup being my favourite. The mmmms and aaaaaahs coming from the other diners as we ate our meal said it all.... More

Book ahead if you can, this place is not very big. All of the fish is locally sourced and fresh, excellently cooked and very tasty. We will be back :-))

Good honest food from a local family run business. Right on the seafront in Porthgain, a must visit location.

The shed is a renowned fish Bistro. Our companions, knowing that we are not particularly fond of fish, gave us the option of accompanying them which we accepted. On arrival we were quickly seated in a corner table of a rather small room. I was the only person in our party who ordered the non-fish option for the main meal... More

Recommended to us as we were visiting St Davids Cathedral. The restaurant is situated in a shed (hence its name) on the old man-made harbour at Porthgain. Plenty of parking both outside and within a short walk. The interior has the feeling of a cafe other than being able to look into the kitchen when entering. There are half a... More

Well recommended by so many and really keen to check out this place. It was really busy for a Thursday so glad that we booked in advance. The Cod & Chips were beautifully cooked, the batter was light and really tasty. Top quality food, finished off with a great choice of desserts. Our host (Paul) was excellent and most engaging... Lunch today-Sunday-at "The Shed" lived up to and exceeded our expectations. My wife and I took advantage of the "Over Sixties" £7.00 per head haddock and chips. Service was friendly, very helpful and very efficient. We did not have to wait long for our meals and when they came we were amazed by the size of the fish portions. They... More

We've been here a couple of times for lunch and dinner and always had a meal that we cannot fault! Scampi to die for! The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. Also love the idea that you can get a take away too...perfect. I would say that the cost is reflected in the quality and quantity of the food!... More
