Our 3 night stay at the sky houses came with complimentary 2 course evening meals at the Tea House. We expected cafe style food and would have been happy with that. To our surprise we were treated to fabulous meals expertly prepared and beautifully presented. Over 3 nights we had barramundi, steak, linguini, pork belly salad, to name a few. Desserts were equally creative and delicious. Wine was locally made and was good value at $10/$12 a glass. We could not offer enough praise to the staff who looked after us. They were efficient, caring, attentive to diet needs and clearly happy in their workplace. We cant remember the name of the young staff members who looked after us but there are not many wait staff there so hopefully they will recognise this review.

We dined at the Tea House for dinner, and breakfast the following morning. The servers were a little slow to come and take our orders at dinner. My husband had the rump steak with red wine jus, which was cooked to perfection, and absolutely delicious. I had the Canungra Mushroom Rissotto, and it was well cooked, and tasty, but under seasoned, needing salt and pepper added at the table, which I never usually do. Also seemed to only have the tiniest sprinkle of the truffle oil promised. Meals came out relatively quickly, with friendly service. In the morning for breakfast, there was some confusion, as we waited for table service, when apparently you order at the counter for breakfast. Once ordered, the meals did seem to take a while to come out. The waitress approached us with meals and a coffee, then just gave us the coffee and said our meals would be out soon, and gave the breakfasts to the next table, which seemed odd. My husband ordered Eggs Benedict, which was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. The addition of poppy seeds to the Hollandaise was an unusual and yummy twist. I had the sourdough with avocado and haloumi, which I thoroughly enjoyed, and it was a generous serving. However only a tiny sprinkle of Dukkah on top. I would have loved more of that. Overall 2 very pleasant dining experiences, and would love to return and try other things on the menu.

We stayed in Binna Burra Skylodges and ate in this friendly cafe on a couple of occasions, once for lunch and once for dinner.
On both occations we were very satisfied.
For lunch we all had burgers, they were very tasty and we ate them on the terrace with pretty forest views.
Dinner was more fancy and again we ate well. I had the fish which was excellent. This time we ate inside in front of the fire, do homely.
Excellent drinks list, the black lager on tap was lovely.
Very friendly, helpful staff. One warning, it closes at 7 with last orders at 6.30 so don't get caught out as there are no other places nearby as it's at the top of a mountain!

We had dinner here on the last night of our stay at the lodge as a nice treat and it was too cold to cook outside. A little bit like the food that we were served. If you are going to reheat food at least ensure it comes out hot enough to make the customer think it has been cooked fresh. Overall disappointing because the food was actually decent quality. The kids meals were disappointing I would say they are okay for a five year old or younger but if they are older and have a normal appetite expect to have to get a dessert on top of it. A small handful of chips and 2 pieces of tiny fish are not worth $15. The service was good. But overall a very expensive night out for what you get.

I was disappointed with the menu for the evening meals. In the past (pre 2019 fires) you could get a great pizza takeaway on a Saturday night and other options. The tea house now only offers 2 course $45 and 3 course $60 menu.
What about the campers who are nestled into the area?
I could not afford to eat at restaurant of an an evening at the prices.
Although the meals were good quality I feel that Binna Burra Teahouse does not offer value for the family any more which is a shame.

Stopped by for coffee before a walk and lunch after. Venue is modern, comfortable and relaxing: outside deck a top spot with great views if the weather is amenable.
Also functions as a shop, information desk and check-in counter for accomodation.
Staff working the cafe are brilliant: thoughtful and friendly.
Coffee was excellent and there were gluten free options available - I had a muffin which was “as fresh as”
Lunch menu was varied and contained many gluten free options: apparently chef is gf: chips are gf.
Food was good - a little pricier than in the city but it is a captive market and isolated location.
Very enjoyable.

So me and my family visited the binna burra tea house today. Literally the first thing we told the girl taking the order was that my son had a severe food allergy to fish and certain types of nuts. We were assured that she would speak to the kitchen staff to ensure our food was safe. We ordered a salad and sweet potatoe chips. When tbe food arrived the salad was literally a bowl of spinach because all the other ingedients may contain traces of nuts, and the chips were cooked in the same oil that the fish was cokked in!!!, seriuosly, iasked for a refund on the chips and was made to queue again to get my money back for the chips and was then grilled by the new person on the till as to why i wanted my money back. Absolutely appalled by the service, food allergies are not taken seriously there, will never go there again.

We called in for lunch and despite asking if we could book a table (which was done reluctantly) we returned to find all tables out on the verandah were occupied. As soon as a couple left I sat down, and mentioned to the girl that took the booking we had taken the dirty table. She simply shrugged and continued to take orders. Our lunch was great, served quickly and was delicious. As I couldn't finish all of my drink, I took the half empty bottle back to the counter and explained that I hadn't put it in the bin as it still had liquid in it. One girl picked it up as though it was radioactive, rolled her eyes, while the other pulled the most childish face. I couldn't let that go without letting them know I had seen it . Staff need an attitude transplant.

This is a great place to visit, away from the main crowds but it does get busy with the people staying near by and the day trippers.
The cafe does close for about half an hour between breakfast and lunch (11.30am I think).
Friendly staff, lovely coffee, tasty food and not to mention some great views amongst the trees.

Had 2 dinners and 2 breakfasts + hikers lunches while staying at Binna Burra. Food was very tasty and large portions. Menu is limited but gives a pretty decent selection. Highly recommend the pancakes and berries at breakfast, the mushroom risotto, fish of the day, and pumpkin ravioli at dinner.

We wanted to revisit Bunna Burra after the devastating fires over a year ago.
The drive up from the Gold Coast was pretty, with a number of improvements on the road.
There had been rain the previous evening, so everywhere was wet and we were not suitable dressed for walking the tracks.
We were disappointed with the Tea House. The view was lovely but the weather not great for photos. Coffees were ok. The roast beef and pickle toasted sandwich was tasty and looked to be the best offering on the menu. There was not a lot to choose from.
Service was quite friendly.

After a lovely drive (seeing how the trees etc have grown and look healthy after the bush fires) from Canungra, we stopped here for morning tea. The coffee was excellent, the muffin's so fresh ! The view gorgeous. The staff, happy and friendly. Only negative was inside the Tea house, while some windows were open, really needed some ceiling fans, it was so hot and uncomfortable.

We came to visit this amazing place for Father’s Day, soon arrival we rang ahead and were given advice on the drive up as the wind was extreme that day.
Our waitress was a girl named Maddy, she would have to be the most friendliest staff member with exceptional service, nothing was an issue at all.
The food was absolutely beautiful amazing size great flavour.
There was a warm fire burning with plenty of seating.
Was worth the drive we will be back!

We wanted to return to support, after bushfires destroyed the old tea house earlier this year. Went for lunch and the food and views were amazing. Definitely book ahead and request window table. Would also suggest booking for an earlier time to avoid busy times with car park etc.
