Chamico's is my idea of paradise. It is a restaurant nestled among coconut trees on the edge of a bay with a beautiful reef for snorkeling. The vibe is laid back and it was surprisingly and refreshingly uncrowded. We had a delicious HUGE ceviche (3 of us split one plus chips and guacamole), great drinks, all at very reasonable prices.... When the menu says "Fried" they mean Deep Fried. Absolutely yummy, fresh caught fish. We had lunch there twice, and are going back again tomorrow. Gotta try everything on the menu.

This is such a great place! We hired Juan, a super-nice taxi driver in Tulum, to take us to Sac Actun Cenote. He took us to Chamico's for lunch afterwards. It was a magical place. It is in a gated community at the end of a road lined with beautiful villas along the beach. There was a mix of people... More

If you are in the area, Chamico's is worth the visit. On the beach, it's as informal as one gets....plastic tables and chairs and sand for the floor but it has plenty of shade and a hard working staff. Of one week in the Yucatan, they had the best guacamole. We opted for the fried fish and while it was... More

We had a marvelous lunch at Chamico's. The view can't be beat, on a beautiful sandy beach overlooking the ocean under shade trees. The food was very good and the afternoon was very relaxing.

We walked the beach from our hotel to lunch waterside on plastic chairs and tables in the sand while gently shaded under the palm. Generous plates of delicious ceviche were served just as they should be. A shrimp quesadilla was fine but nothing special. Our request for hot sauce produced a house made bowl of habanero hellfire and the biggest... More

We were looking for a special lunch on our way to the airport from Tulum. Heard this was a nice location. Ten minutes off the main road on a little dirt road, past a number of luxury villas, this place lies on a beautiful beach, and was just what we needed. Very simple-little plastic tables sitting under palm trees. A... More

Visited and ate the ceviche, nothing extraordinary. In fact, was sick remainder of day and next. Lots of seaweed and rocks in water. Hammocks looked nice though and service good. Price ok neither high nor low.

My son just happened to be looking on Google maps and found this secluded beach restaurant down a winding road off the highway to Tulum. Such a treasure! Food was fresh with good sized portions . The deep fried red snapper was my favorite. The water was bathtub warm with a nice variety of colorful fish just off the shore.... More

Chamico's is now tied for first place on my list of beach side restaurants in Mexico - the food is amazing, the service is very good, but best of all is the ambiance ... sitting on the beach amongst the palm trees, just staring out into the turquoise water of the Caribbean. My wife and I dined here with my... More
