The portions here are huge! We all ordered the skirt steak and the dish was definitely big enough for two people the split. The meat was juicy and delicious! Charming atmosphere. We will be back next time we are in Tulum!

Although on the 'other' side of the street, this restaurant has seriously delicious food! Well worth it! Like everywhere it is quite expensive but it's excellent!

We had some drinks and ate at Casa Banana at the begining of January. The appetizers were very tasty and the meat was incredible. The portions are quite big, so if you are not that hungry you could share a portion with a friend. Friendly...More

This is one of the places you are told is a must when in Tulum. Argentinian kitchen with meat as its prime. My opinion was that the place is rather average. Food is good but not something special. Service is ok but not amazing. Eniviroment...More

Very good option to eat here for dinner. The food and drinks were as if you are at a fancy restaurant in a big city. The service was above average as well. Definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone in Tulum.

Banana was not our first choice at this evening, but we landed there and we where surprised by a delivious, innovative kitchen in a nice ambience. Not a cheap place but worse each peso. Try the cocktails! We had the beets with goose cheese (yummmmy!)...More

We were there for dinner. They seated us quickly (15 minutes). Food was good, but a bit pricey. Be careful, you can only pay in cash, and the ATM outside the restaurant wasn’t working when we went there. The exchange rate for USD was 15...More

No. Only cash. They have an ATM in front but I am told they charge high fees so wouldn't go that route. Best bet would be to change to pesos in downtown Tulum and pay with that as exchange is very favorable right now.

Located across the beach road from Nueva Vida is Casa Banana Steakhouse, a Tulum dining hot spot. Serving up classic Argentinian style cuisine, the food here is simple, fresh and delicious. For breakfast each morning enjoy made to order coffee, homemade banana bread, and pineapple coconut jam. At night the restraurant gets busy and comes alive with it’s outdoor grill, known as “parilla,” and dishes are cooked over the open fire for all to see. The menu favorites include grilled to perfection steak, fresh caught fish, impressive salads, and a thoughtfully selected wine list. Don’t forget to try the handshaken icy margaritas, too.Open daily breakfast, lunch and dinner. We provide beach service for all guests of the hotel.
