Amaro is an old standard on the Merida dining scene. The food is ok, but the place is very pleasant and there is often "easy" live music, and it is right in the historic center of town. The owners support local artists and there is...More

The food and service were excellent. We do not have any complaints about the quality of the food or the service. This was the most expensive food we ate in Merida. All the other restaurants were about $13 to $15 U.S. dollars. The total for...More

Food is okay, but the ambiance and service make up for it. Get the Mezcal... and don't forget to ask for the crickets! Yum!!!

The cafe maya is a must for dessert. Fernando and crew are quite masters in preparing this unmatchable drink. I had lunch and came back next day for dinner. Great work!

Fabulous restaurant with wonderful live music (gentle guitar music while I was there) and an imaginative menu. Great for vegetarians. Excellent service, esp Fernando - attentive, good with local info, but not remotely pushy. Beautiful setting, too. Highly recommend this place.
