We loved this place. The people are caring and helpful and take time to explain the dishes if you ask. There is no rush. The portions are generous and can be easily shared. And if you want more you can order more. One appetizer, one main course, both shared and two craft beers were more than enough for the two... More

Really liked this place. Got the package meal with juice and fruit and bottomless coffee and their delicious local shredded meat with eggs . Great price . Great service .

We enjoyed two lovely lunches at Manjar Blanco during our recent visit to Merida. Manja Blanco is conveniently located between Paseo de Montego and Santa Ana Square. Restaurant is in a nicely restored section of a traditional home Well-prepared, tasty Yucutecan choices, tastefully presented. Prices are very reasonable, and the service is excellent. Strong recommendation!

No less than Rick Bayless, the famed restaurateur and Mexican cuisine maven from Chicago, singled out Manjar Blanco as one of the best restaurants in Mérida. He was right, although without his recommendation we probably would have walked right past it, so self-effacing is this storefront establishment. It closes at 6 p.m. For starters we were served thin slices of... More

This place is a real find for us. Located along Calle 47 at Santa Ana, it serves traditionalYucatecan dishes done very well. The service is very good. The food is really outstanding. I love the Poc Chuc. Really large servings and the presentation is far more sophisticated than you would expect. The setting is a nicely finished old home, but... More

Definetly swing by when in Merida for a proper experience of local food. Service was very good, but I'd say more expensive than we expected. The tortillas and salsas are excellent.

We came here last year for breakfast and enjoyed it so much we came back for lunch this year!!! We ordered the sampler of Yucatecan food Plato Manjar Blanco and it was so good! We loved the Temozon smoked sausage, panuchos, puc chuc, and empanadas! Everything was so good!!! We will be back again in the future!

I went here after reading other reviews and decided I would try it. It is authentic Mayan food the hand made tortillas were delicious I ordered the queso relleno they describe it with all these spices (which I'm a Chef back in the States) so I was expecting a great experience for flavors on my pallet, however that was not... The Manjar Blanco proposes traditional yucateco recipes made with high quality products and prepared with care and expertise. I guess, here, the cochinita pibil (whose recipe include to long bake the pork into a hole digged in the ground) is really prepared according the tradition, since the flesh is tender, juicy and super soft. We have also tried an awesome... More

A good example of high quality Merida food! We arrived for a late lunch; the food was the in the highly regarded Yucatan style, with very hot sauce available if you choose. We loved it and would send friends there without hesitation.
