Very good coffee & bread (bisquet), fair prices, efficient service, clean restroom. AMEX is welcome.

This place offers exactly what you need as a traveler exploring Merida and its area. The restaurant is not fancy but clean and the food was great. There is a big variety of different dishes available, some of them even come with juice, cafe and toast. I ordered the huevos rancheros which were absolutely delicious. The staff was fast, nice... Our 2nd visit to Merida in 2 months. We didn't get a chance to visit Cafe Pop the last time. This is a cute place. Waiters are friendly and they have extensive menu. Delicious tasty Mexican breakfast with coffee and juice. It's so cheap you can't beat it. Food was good and hot (which we find is not always the... More

Cafeteria Pop is a great choice for breakfast in downtown Mérida before heading off to those Maya archeological sites. Get the huevos rancheros, café con leche, and corn tortillas to get your day off right.

Its a good breakfast place. not been there for any other meal. We discovered Los Trompos later and much prefer them. Better food, just as good service.

So so so. Food uninspired, service lackadaisical. Coffee weak and watery. If I had read a few reviews I would have continued walking.

We first came here for breakfast. The servings were large and tasty, at a fair price. Service was really, really slow, but it was only 8:00 and museums don't open until 10, so no problem. Based on a very satisfying breakfast experience we returned for dinner. Huge mistake. My wife ordered sopa de lima, it was refrigerator cold. She sent... More

Simple tasty food. Waiters are quick and friendly and most speak at least some English. Try the cappuccino!

Wanted to try Pibil dish which is one of the specialities of the region and noticed this was on the menu. The chicken dish was cooked in banana leaves with a variety of spices and was delicious. However it came on it's own with no sides, not even rice. This had to be ordered at an additional cost which didn't... More
