We were here on a weekday for late lunch ( mexican time) between 3/4pm. THe place was a little busy, but the service was perfect and our server was so nice and helpful. Some in our party had the chiles xcatik filled with meat, and also with fish, we had the poc chuc ( pork meat ) and all this... More
The 'fanciest' bar/restaurant in Teya, Yucatan, MX. Located on a beautifully restored/maintained hacienda. We have stayed in Teya on vacation during the months of January, February, and March from 2015-2017. Hacienda Teya is within walking distance from our vacation rental and we have eaten there numerous times over the past 3 years. Most often, we would go there for lunch.... More
Hacienda Teya is for sure one of the best places in Mérida to enjoy quality Yucatecan food. Set in an ancient Haciendas, with ample dining areas, attentive service, and great service is certainly a place not to miss by visitors and locals alike.
The place is authentic and so beautiful! I think that when you plan your visit to Hacienda Teya you have to keep in mind that you have to be really hungry because you have to try as many dishes as you can, trust me!
On our way back from Chitchen Itza over the 180 we passed here in the late afternoon. This is an old hacienda that was carefully restored by the owners. Here you will find a traditional Yucatan food, which attract the locals too and so you can be sure that you don't get the typical tourist food they are preparing in... More
Traditional Yucatan food, and it was so darn good!! We were in Merida between Christmas and New Years, and spend the afternoon in Izamal. We attempted to get into a restaurant in Izamal that afternoon, but the holiday crowds were maddening. Our driver suggested Hacienda Teya on the way back into Merida for dinner instead. We are so glad he... More
Excellent place. this is one of the few spot where you can see locals, families on weekends, bussiness man on power lunches as well as tourists from Mexico and from US / Europe. Food is traditional Yucatan style. It is served promptly and flawlessly, with no innovations nor extravagant add ons. Worth to see the Hacienda and have an exelent... More
This is a fine dining place of Yucatecan food. The place has an impressive setting in an old hacienda that was properly restored. Local people come here to eat the traditional cusine of their hometown on a regular basis, and therefore if the locals feel is excellent, it's good enough for me too! While there try the "papatzules" Totally worth... More
Despite is quite far, the place is really beautiful. Unfortunately I had a bad experience... I was very excited to try very regional food at a traditional and so welcoming environment. With the advise of the waiter, I ordered a tasting plate with various local specialities. Indeed everything was delicious until I found a hair (quite long actually) on the... More
