We enjoyed lunch at Palmeras restaurant on a recent cruise stop in Cozumel. The menu and food seemed oriented towards american tastes, which was fine. It seemed to straddle traditional mexican with the Tex Mex that americans are used to. Everything was terrific and we had a nice street front/waterfront table and view. Our ship was in port for 2... Great food and amazing view! I go here every time I'm in Cozumel and am never disappointed. My husband and I got the steak tacos and they were fantastic.

The atmosphere here is wonderful! We loved the open area and view of the ocean, the mariachi band, and the service we received. But, the delicious food topped that. Hubby had the tampiqueña and I had the fajitas. We both got more than generous portions. But, it was so good that we wanted to finish it all. We were shocked... More

We took a day-trip into town to explore, shop and eat some non-resort food. We asked the staff at a high-end jewelry store where we could get some good, authentic Mexican food and he suggested Palmeras. When we sat down, we were disappointed at how Americanized the menu and prices were; it was not what we were looking for in... More

A friend of mine told me once: "If you go to Cozumel, make a stop at Palmeras, it's the best fajitas I ever ate!" So when I went to Cozumel, I had to stop and check for my self! I can confirm! It's the best fajitas and Club Sandwich I ever got to taste! Wow! To top it all, the... More

Four of us had brunch (enchiladas, breakfast nachos, eggs, and all the dishes were nicely prepared. Sauces were rich and flavorful. Many of the dishes had white/crema sauces that were unexpected but good. We also sampled the Mango Margaritas, and they were quite tasty. Service was top-notch, and the view on the outdoor dining area was quite nice. Definitely worth... More

We stopped in for lunch on the recommendation of someone we met from a cruise that have ate at Palmeras for 14 years. We were NOT disappointed. The food was excellent. The starters of chips, guac and salsa were very good too. The view is the ocean and you see all the cruise ship crowds. It is right at the... More

The outdoor, open air restaurant a right on the oceanfront is across from the Ferry Boat station on the main strip of Cozumel's downtown tourist section. The food was phenomenal and the view of all the tourists and activity was great. The restaurant has an open-air courtyard and the dinners sit around the court yard protected by a roof from... More

Second time we had lunch here. We shared a bed fajita order and plenty for both of us. You also get chips, salsa and guacamole. Delicious. The large margaritas will knock you off you feet. Get table facing street. Good people watching.

We ate our first meal here upon arrival! The chicken fajitas were outstanding and margaritas were really good too! The view is right in the middle of the action facing the water and cruise ship area! We'll be back!
