Food is delicious. Service is also very good. There is a show on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays. 100% recommended.

La Habichuela Sunset (relatively new place): located in the hotel zone (Cancun island). Food OK, dancers show OK. Interesting setting on the lagoon side of Cancun. La Habichuela Downtown (original place): located in Cancun city (downtown). Food is excellent, no shows available. Beautiful gardens with Mayan motifs. So, you choose, OK food and OK show versus excellent food and no... More

I've been coming to this restaurant for the last 5 years, But only once a year. Still amazing yummie food and great service! Cesar salad and Grouper, with the capers, my choice this trip. Full bar with a very nice wine selection. Mayan Dinner Show is M,W,F starting at 8PM. Beauty and colorful show. Some Salad and Desserts are prepared... More

We went early to get a good seat for the Mayan show (very overrated and kind of weird). The food was ok but there are much better places to go.

This is our second trip to Cancun. Last time was a rather quick 4 nighter, and we really didn't explore much beyond our resort (Westin Lagunamar) and the shopping center across the street. This time, we ventured out looking to find one nicer place for a special dinner. This place looked the part, and did not disappoint! We sat at... More

The food was nice, but not great, not even the Mexican dishes, that is why the place got two stars and not one. The Mayan show is a joke, the service is slow beyond belief. If you visit Cancun, you may want to avoid the place altogether.

On a birthday trip to Cancun my husband took me here for dinner. We sat at a lagoon side table which was very romantic.. The interior is beautiful with the glass floors in the entry. Dinner was delish, we both had crab cakes. The staff was amazing presenting me with a traditional Mayan princess birthday song and huge princess wooden... More

The only thing that was good about this place was the lime soup and the margaritas everything else was bad. We ordered our food at 8:09 and didn't get it until 9:30. The place wasn't even close to busy. People beside us up and left after they complained about waiting 2 hours and not even getting their food. Steak was... More

This restaurant was our fourth night here in Cancun. It was probably our most expensive meal in Cancun. The food was overcooked and cold and the wait staff not very attentive My guess it would be a nice place to go for a drink and watch the sunset. If I visit Cancun again I will not go back to this... My family and I ate here Christmas night and the food was excellent. My mother ordered the steak tampiquena, my husband order a steak as well, and I ordered the chicken mole. The chicken mole was delicious so flavorful and yummy. My husband is a picky eater and he tasted my mole and he said it reminded him of the... More

Description
La Habichuela Sunset
Surpasses your expectations.
Welcome: A unforgettable sunset awaits you.
They say its a museum turned into a restaurant. Aside from its bold and modern arquitechture, the ambiance is based on the mayan culture with the intent of giving our customers a unique experience surrounded by masks of ancient kings, a 9 meter mayan column from floor to ceiling and a 30 meter hand carved kukulkan wooden snake. Our open garden area next to the lagoon allows you to dine with the stars and the moon.
But our biggest pride being our exquisite dishes, from traditional yucatecan recipes to sophisticated caribbean/mexican fusions. We have a vast variety of international wines as well as national.
We follow and maintain our founders philosophy of providing prompt and detailed service since 1977.
Dont miss our mayan rituals shows during the week that will transport you in time to the ancient mayan civilization.
