This hotel is more or less open to the elements by being under a large "Palapa" structure. I initially didn't want to go because I thought I'd be too hot. While it was warm, the ceiling fans are pretty strong which made it pleasant. The views at night onto the sparkling ocean are lovely and enchanting. The service was good,... More

El Caribeño is located inside Presidente Intercontinental Hotel, with a beautiful beach view and a very good menu. Lobster is really good here at an affordable price. Service is good and the ambiance perfect for a relaxed time. Overall a good option.

We met Erick Gonzalez as we were having a drink served by Erick Carlos who was showing Bill Quire how to make a frozen margarita. I asked Erick Gonzalez if he would be our waiter for dinner - he said I will prepare you a special dinner for the evening...we had a five course dinner finished off with a delicious... More

The waiter staff were incredible. We ate here several times during our stay because of the atmosphere and great food. We were hoping to experience some new food choices from the region and the staff had local food suggestions. I admit that I could not pronounce everything that I ate but it was always fresh and original.

Last night, together with our friends, my husband and I were treated to a special chef's dinner at El Caribieno . We remembered Pamela, the manager, from when she was the hostess at La Trattoria at the Moon Palace Golf Resort and Spa. She welcomed us with such a wonderful smile, remembering us from last year. Our dinner was a... More

We went to this restaurant on our first night at the hotel. We had a soup, the tostadas, the pasta and a fish filet. The food was abundant and very tasteful. The service was good too.

Still beautiful setting, but food and service were very disappointing this year. My family has been going to the restaurant for many years and have loved it (see my previous review). We have always had great meals and service, but our recent visits (2 of them within a week) have been very disappointing. The first visit, I broke my own... More
