I used live at the Veracruz 20 years ago, and this place was a small one, with outstanding food, I returned with my wife during a busy weekend there. We arrived there about 11:00 AM to have breakfast/lunch and the place was crowded with a wait listo of about 30 minutes, and not very well managed, 45 minutes later we... More

This restaurant is complete Mexican, I truly recommend this restaurant for its food and price. If you wanna eat some typical Mexican food this is the best place to go in the mornings.

The food here is great, local, and well priced! I remember eating here as a child and the food did not disappoint. We ordered Gorditas, Picadas, empandas, and enfrijoladas. They were the best gorditas (dulce) that I have ever had.

We loved this place for breakfast. It's frequented by mostly locals and they know what is good and what is touristy hype. We ate here three mornings in a row despite a 20 minute cab ride from the hotel because it's just that good. The platanos with cream and cheese are my favorite, also you should definitely try the chilaquiles... More

The food is very good, the atmosphere is very noisy, cheerful, there is a band playing cuban music, prices are not expensive, but the best is the food, it is delicious!! Cons: There is not air conditioning, just fans, service is slow, restrooms are not clean

I ate there several times. The food is predominantly local fare well done. Not a fancy place but is quite popular, although I never had to wait for a table. While I was there on one occasion a very high ranking Naval officer and his aides were eating there so we were all protected by Marine guards while we ate!... More

I come to this place by recomendation of friends who have lived in this city. Place is not fancy but more as a typical local cuisine, usually is crowded so come prepared to wait patiently nearly 10 to 15 minutes to be seated. Food is local and fresh, you will trade price for a clean place as the items in... More

Is a traditional mexican "Comida corrida" (4 course meal, rise, soup, main meal and dessert plus water, salsa, tortillas, etc.) the taste is good. If you want another speciality ask for "la carta" there is a lot of good options. "La Chuleta" is a very good option great taste, a lot of food (french fries, 2 pork chop, chilaquiles, salad,... I have to say that this is one of my favorite places to enjoy breakfast, the food is amazing and you have many options on the menu. Normally the restaurant is packed and it is more likely to wait for 15 or 20 minutes once you were given a table. Anyway it is worth it!

If you want to taste authentic house made Mexican dishes, come here without any doubt! The place is not pretentious, but highly higienic and clean. Service falls into casual, but still very good. It is said that an angle of a gourmet is enjoying traditions and the roots of sophisticated dishes. This is the place to come and get to... More
