I liked my first dinner here so much that I came back again and again. The menu is designed to show off Chiapas's wonderful local produce, fish, meats, and cheeses. The staff make a point of explaining where each item originates-- it might be nice to show tourists a map of the state so they can see where everything comes... More

We sat in the outdoor courtyard where there was great music and candles. The wait staff was professional and friendly. Our food was fresh, imaginative, delicious and thoughtfully presented. We started off with homemade flat chippy things with sauces and shared some empanadas both were really delicious and different. My husband had the chicken with two moles - one was... More

The service was excellent, the food was good, but overpriced. This level of prices you get in Mexico City with a better quality of food. My "robalo" fllet could have been a little bit more tender, the soups could have had little bit more taste

Great staff, nice patio. Had the mole and my wife had chipilin soup. Both were outstanding. Get the quesadilla as an appetizer and you will not be disappointed. Flaky shell, seemingly whipped queso seca . . . Incredible. The little extras added to the ,eal as well . . . Some tasty cheeses sent out by the chef before and... More

It was our best meal in San Cristobal and we enjoyed every detail of our dinner. Chef Marta uses local ingredients and re-invents Mexican cuisine in a very original and delicious way. We discovered the tasty simojovel chiles which are available for purchase in the gift shop that also sells home made preserve, local honey and chocolate. I highly recommend... More

I'm from Mexico City and I've lived in the US for more than a decade, so I understand the Mexican cuisine as well as the expectations for most well-traveled americans. This restaurant does not serve the typical fare. It is more like a new- Mexican cuisine that uses local ingredients and recipes with a twist or an improvement. The decor... More

Nice change from the regular Mexican food. Interesting slant on classic dishes in an elegant atmosphere. Not very expensive.

We like this place so much that we had dinner here on 3 separate nights, including New Year's. The food is excellent; the young Mexican chef has won many awards. The wine list is also excellent; it's all Mexican wines and the sommelier, Gabriel, is both knowledgeable and really nice. Overall, the service is wonderful. They also have very pleasant... More

We took others advice in trying this hotel restaurant in a quiet neighborhood. We were pleasantly surprised by old standbys presented with an updated approach. The Quesadilitis were made with a light fluffy almost sweet Cheese accompanied by a delicious chooped tomato " chutney" The salad a combination of Apples Pears Spinach accompanied by a honey fruit marmalade dressing was...
