An only in Mexico contrast between the old school atmosphere, really wonderful Pozole and classic disco tunes playing. No chic signage here, right across the street from Masa de Madre bakery. Want to get away from the trendy spots- this family establishment is a Oaxaca treasure.

This place is an absolute hidden gem. I wanted to local place with great pozole and local dishes at reasonable prices. This spot was just that. Extremely simple decor (remember this is a locals spot) with attentive service and a vast menu. I indulged in a chicken Torta (mind blowing), chicken pozole and tacos. All were fabulous and will be... More

This is a simple but clean establishment that's very popular with the locals. We had tortas (sandwiches) and salad as takeout, both delicious and filling. Never made it back for the pozole -- we'll save that for the next time.

We stumbled upon this restaurant, and it looked like a neighborhood dive. We love pozole, and we were hungry, so we stopped. I'm so glad we did! They have a huge variety of pozole - red, green, white... different meats and from different regions of México. I had the red one, with pork, and my husband had the Guerrero version... More

Great prices for delicious food. Obviously go for the tortas - my favorite is the chicken and egg torta for only 50-55 pesos!

We heard about this place from a local guide and had a group of six. Each ordered a different pozole and no one was disappointed. This is not a high end place. It specializes in local Oaxacan foods and we found the service was good, the prices were more than fair and the foods were tasty with a good bit... More

We ate pozole here a few times trying both the red and green pozoles. I recommend them both. Service was fast and attentive, and prices are very reasonable. Open pretty late most days, too it seems.

Our local tour guide told us to try this place around the corner from our hotel. Everyone enjoyed their food. My kids ordered the Pozole Guerrero, chica & adults ordered the Grande size. Delicious with chicken and cabbage with chicharrons floating on top. Peanuts with lime and chili was served as an appetizer. Service was warm and welcoming. It's a... More

This family restaurant serves tasty traditional Mexican dishes. Mostly frequented by locals, it has a festive relaxing atmosphere, fast friendly service and reasonably priced delicious food. I would highly recommend any of the pesole dishes.

Been here twice. The pozole is terrific (nice portions--the special with three meats is huge). We also have had some other plates--a little uneven. Service is pretty good, friendly, fast.
