Pros: Quaint restaurant, great food. Cons: Expensive for a family restaurant, maybe nice feedback is getting to their head. The worse was the son of the owner . While she was hard at work cooking, this guy was talking on the phone while putting the food down, pushing the empty salad plate aside with the dish on his hand, no... More

Well, I am sorry to read this, in fact, that day we were short on staff and it was only my Mother and my self, while I was serving, also I had to attend the phone and do other stuff at once, pushing plates and doing other tasks doesn't count as being arrogant, the service is always polite and educated,... This is a cozy space for 65yo+ Americans and Canadians to eat good home-cooked style food. Low-spice, familiar foods with friendly server who speaks perfect English and is clearly loved by all the regulars.

This is quite a nice little restaurant. The food is good, not heavy. Nice flavors, large portions. Great "flavored" waters that are quite refreshing! Nice solid restaurant!

So delighted that someone recommended this unassuming little place to us for lunch today! The special dish was spare ribs in bbq sauce (Mex style of course) which I ordered and my husband ordered the shrimp in Garlic sauce. They had just run out of shrimp and had made an emergency call to their supplier and they were waiting for... More

If food is love, this place speaks “viva l’amour”. Small with ~ 9 tables. Reservations if you can. Big plates of food. Meat place. Mama is in the kitchen, son 1 is the chef, son 2 is the front room. Bring your own wine. Excellent food - filling. Great ambiance. It is easy to see why they have a legion... More

Charming little family run restaurant. The place is extremely popular - there were always some people waiting outside for tables as we were there. We shared the arrachera plate (arrachera beef, two tortillas filled with cheese, guacamole, grilled vegetables and potatoes, salad) and it was absolutely delicious.

Had a delicious meal here. Best guccamole in Oaxaca and that is a big call. I had the fish which was excellent. Generous portions home cooked healthy food with a smile. Staff lovely. Quirky little place with charm that has a 'local' feeling to it rather than catering to the tourist. Busy- we booked and glad we did. We went... More

This is an excellent family owned and run restaurant within walking distance of Oaxaca's historical district. It's small. 8 tables downstairs and 3 upstairs so you may have to wait for a table (try for downstairs since the second level gets a little stuffy). The food is always very fresh and simply prepared. I especially liked the camarones but if... More

You will find many good reviews of this restaurant. The seafood is good and well prepared. Many people who like this restaurant are Americans, who have not changed to eating their main meal in the middle of the day. If you make that change you will open the door to many more great choices. The portions are a bit larger... More

Low key atmosphere with great food at a very reasonable price. Hamburger meal with greens and home fries. Other choices presented well
