Easy to get there, modest decoration, the service is good, the waitress was young but careful. The 7 moles where absolutely great! We didn't order other dishes. Prices were fair. As many restaurants in Oaxaca, they close at 22:00 hrs.

Wish I could review the food, but the wait staff was so prude that I never got that far. I arrived at 4:30 p.m., there were plenty of empty tables, one had a "reserved" sign on it. I was told to come back in 50 minutes. No offer to wIt at the restaurant. I asked if I could guarantee the... More

In Oaxaca for a 3 day vacation and looking to dig into some authentic mole based dishes, I asked my airbnb hos for recommendations, and he suggested Los Pacos. Housed in an atmospheric 3 storey casa on a side street not too far from the cathedral, Los Pacos didn't disappoint - though I have to admit I am no authority... More

This is a good place to try out several varieties of the local mole. You can do this on your own plate of the meat of your choice which then is served with the various moles on top. Or you can taste several moles and then choose two kinds to be served on the meat of your choice. Members of... More

Yes I know my title means a great way to try 'sauce' sauces but hey I liked it better than trying various mole's (garden variety digging critters). Anyhow this was a cute little place with both inside and rooftop terrace seating. We each enjoyed the 7 mole sampler where you choose your meat of Chicken (pollo), Pork (cerdo) or Beef... More

This restaurant is highly rated on TripAdvisor and, as is sometimes the case with TripAdvisor, I don't agree. The problem is that everyone has a vote. Don't get me wrong, I'm a staunch defender of democracy, but rating restaurants in this way does not actually reflect how good the food might be. I do realise that this may sound a... More

This is not in the Main Street but is close to Santo Domingo church. Don't fool around if you want proper food. Go to Los Pacos. Every single thing regarding food and service/place was great. Some other restaurants are more scenic than this, but the food here is simply better. Try mole colorado and mole negro to compare. You can... More

We enjoyed tasting seven different kinds of mole. It was hard to choose. We both chose green and black on pork chicken and tongue. We also had frijoles de yerba conejo which translate literally to beans with rabbit grass. All was very good.

Being able to taste the mole before ordering it was very nice. Interesting variation on flavors. I chose two mole types, they came out in a large dish with a rice barrier between the mole so that the flavors would not comingle. Good service. Nice ambiance with the thatched roof. No side dishes or vegetables were included and the price... More

I did not love this place. The mole sampler was very good, but I had to ask for it, when other tables just got it. The service was tepid at best. My grilled fish tasted like nothing. The salsa and the mole were outstanding, though.
