I really, really enjoyed this restaurant. Helpful staff, amazing selection of really different mexican food (ants eggs - escamoles! Surprisingly delicious!). It was also pretty reasonable and if you can get a table, I would definitely recommend going. They also had a fabulous pudding menu!

The food is excellent and the friendly atmosphere makes you want to come back! It has a reproduction of a most famous painting of live at the turn of last century; you feel like going back in time to those days! Make a reservation since it gets crowded over the weekends!!

For start, if you are planning breakfast on the weekend, you have to be there before 9:30, otherwise its going to be a long line waiting. Now, the wait is worthwile because all the dishes on the menu are great choices. I would start with a cup of hot chocolate with a "pan dulce" or sweet roll accompanied by a... More

I love their breakfasts, you have to start with hot chocolate which is frothed table side. And some traditional Mexican pastries. Any item you may choose in the menu will leave you satisfied and you will have enjoyed a real Mexican traditional breakfast.

This was the best restaurant we tried in Mexico City. Since it is on the ground floor of the Hilton, you may feel it won't be that good but you would be wrong. The food was excellent and creative. We had ant eggs in tacos! Although the flavor was nothing special, the experience was fun. Everything was fabulous. Our waiter,... More

The restaurant provides a variety of choices for breakfast. It's hot chocolate and coffee is delicious! They also offer different types of bread and you can add nata. The restaurant provides Mexican traditional plates and they have a great presentation. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The opening pages of the menu are a lesson in the history of Mexican cuisine. As you enter for breakfast you are delighted by the aroma of fresh baked goods. The doors open with a flourish to a small army of white aproned wait staff. Order a chocolate to start to get the full theatre of the experience. A wonderful... More

After a long day of travelling around the Zocalo, we stopped in here. We ordered many things off the menu and everything was incredible! only had a short wait. Great service, great atmosphere -- order one or two plates less than you think you want!

Staying in Alameda

Neighbourhood Profile
Alameda
This beautiful park was once the playground for the wealthiest families in the colonial era, and is now the perfect place where locals and visitors can spend a sunny weekend afternoon to relax or shop for souvenirs at the market. Kids can run around or grab a bite of cotton candy while teens and adults wander around admiring the charming gardens and the sculptures that adorn it. Once the heat rises, it may be time to visit one of the many cozy restaurants or cafés with its characteristic art nouveau facades to cool down and call it a day.
