Small, local, exquisite. Will be back. Ribeye de Cuerdo was perfection. Occupies a small house in Colonia Roma. Reminds me of eating at my Grandmas with antique China but the atmosphere is casual and current. Located in a safe walkable neighborhood.

Judi and I set out to eat at the best foodie restaurants in Mexico City, Quintoil, Pujol included and hands down we loved Maximo Bistroit the best. Speaking little Spanish we were having trouble understanding all the items on the tasting menu when our waiter asked the chef to come out of the kitchen and talk with us - what... More

We'd pre-reserved hear as we'd read it's reputation - good idea as very busy. Initially we were put on a covered outside table which was dark - so needed a torch to read the menu - and cold despite the wall-fire. So moved inside when a tank came free which was much better albeit still cold. If you eat here... More

Great restaurant. With a nice and quiet bar on the first floor. The food was amazing. Clearly our best restaurant experience in DF.

The restaurant is in an OK district and has no fancy decor but .. It has the best food and service you'll find anywhere in Mexico City . Started with fresh oysters ,amazing local white wine and a selection of staters all reasonably priced. Staff spoke perfect English and knew the menu inside out . The lamb was great and... More

although the owner/chef has had plenty of publicity and it's not easy to get a reservation here, he's right there in the trenches busily preparing the dishes. he's not resting on his laurels like some who might let the fame go to there heads and it shows. over all, it's one of the best dinners i've ever had. we were... A wonderful restaurant with impeccable service. Reservations were a must. We were a party of five, casual dining...tastefully perfect! The food presentations were beautiful, food even better than it looked. Started the meal with pulpo and a gorgeous salad. The sole, rack of lamb and risotto were all amazing. The desserts a chocolate flan and caramelized monkey bread with helado.... More

Order the muscles for sure! The sauce was garlic buttery, rich with a hint of white wine. We ordered extra bread just for that. Loved their signature cocktails as well.

We booked a table at Maximo Bistrot Local after reading about it in our Lonely Planet book and on Tripadvisor. The reviews were not wrong. The place is small and quaint but the service was excellent and the food second to none! Absolutely outstanding, would definitely recommend it!

This place is always booked way in advance so our expectations were quite high! And we were not disappointed! We were shown a table outside surrounded by plastic walls and heaters which was a bit of a surprise! But we had no problem as it was quite warm and we knew we are a lively group and would no doubt...
