Bellinghausen is a remarkable survivor of the first Zona Rosa – an elegant neighborhood devised for old-family Mexicans and foreigners leaving the Historic Center late in the 19th century. Development was interrupted by the Revolution, but serious decline did not occur until the 1980’s. Bellinghausen is like a ancient grande dame, witnessing it all and refusing to change with the... Bellinghousen has been around forever (ok, since 1915). I have been going there off and on for lunch for 30 years. Though there are numerous other restaurants that I enjoy having lunch at, it is still one of my favorites. The back patio, which is where I always eat, is a quiet beautiful space that isolates you from the noise... More

I have had many a late Sunday luncheon at bellinghausen . The food is delicious and the service good. Although there is indoor dining , most prefer to dine on the patio with a gurgling fountain. The restaurant to me has a touch of New Orleans. touch of New Orleans .

The service is very thoughtful and the food is tasty. It has Mexican traditional food with a little touch from Europe. Is the perfect place to have a business lunch.

The patio in back of the Bellinghausen must be one of most relaxing spots in the Zona Rosa. The waiters are all in white jackets and black bow ties, and the service is spectacular. Get away from the hustle and bustle of Reforma and enjoy the great food! Try the onion soup. TA calls this a budget spot. It's at... More

Nothing better than sitting in the courtyard at the back enjoying a lovely outside lunch even in December, good old fashioned professional service by waiters who know their job and excellent food - they will also get the chef to cook you something that you had or thought you remembered you had years ago, but no longer is on the... We visited for lunch and sat in the courtyard that has tables with white tablecloths and large orange marigolds - the setting is really pretty. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the relaxed atmosphere. The carrot cake was the best I have ever tasted. The service was perfect. We really enjoyed the afternoon and will return.

We decided to try this restaurant as it had a lovely courtyard and a good menu. The courtyard is indeed beautiful with lots of greenery and vines growing up the back wall. The restaurant itself has an old fashioned, posh ambiance with male waiters dashing around busily providing excellent service. The food was good quality and well cooked. Generally though... More

First, just a quick warning: this place is a bit more upscale, so expect nicer atmosphere and prices to match. (It's listed in the economical part of trip advisor right now - a bit of a surprise when we showed up in t-shirts and old jeans!) The atmosphere was very nice, a pleasant patio with song birds around and white... More

What a delightful lunch in the patio back of the restaurant. In the midst of a bustling city, a charming oasis of calm. We ordered guacamole, and it was deliciously prepared to our specifications. I had the puntas de filete al chipotle, and they were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Two of us ordered arrack eras, and they claim that it... More
