I had the carne en su jugo and my fiance had a traditional torta ahogada. They were both very good. We also tried the horchata water, which I loved and they make it there. Prices are also very fair.

A very popular restaurant with the locals. You often have to wait a few minutes to be seated because it is always busy. The menu is typical authentic Mexican cuisine.

We went here on our first night in town. Went around 530pm because we were hungry, so no,problems getting a table. Open patio seating, so great for people watching. Service was excellent. We had the chicken mole and the chile rellenos - both were tasty and good portions. I noticed many local people ordering the pozole and the vegetable soup,... More

Walked past and saw the lady in the kitchen pouring the leftover sauce from someone's uneaten main meal back into a vat of sauce. This was the restaurant in the city.

There is usually a line of people waiting to eat here. The food is great and that is why. The best mole sauce I've ever tasted, chocolatey and sweet. My partner ordered Enchilada's La Gorda and one of the sauces was the mole. There were four enchiladas, two of them with mole and the other two with a mild lighter... More

If you're looking for traditional and inexpensive breakfast this is a good choice. A little Spanish speaking helps. Tasty food and good service. We were a group of seven gringas and all were happy. They even blasted me a birthday song and flan at 10 in the morning.

I saw lots of people eating here and saw some good reviews so I had to try this place. I ordered the beef combo platter that included tequito, sope and enchilada. The meat was tasteless and it didn't even look like beef. I asked the waiteress if she got my order right and if this was indeed a beef combo... More

My husband and I were staying in near by Hotel Morales for four nights and we really enjoyed coming here for breakfast. The dishes are a generous size and service was very good. I would recommend the chilequiles and the fresh squeezed orange juice. Because the exchange rate (USD) was so good when we went (dec 2015) the plates seemed... More
