The food is ok. (My father is Puerto Rican and mother is Dominican) Plate proportions are small, and pricing is relatively high. It's the only restaurant available in the Guadalajara area that serves Latin Caribbean food. This place is average at best.

Great Cuban Latin music. Standard food. Good place to go and enjoy the Latin spirit and a dance night. Good to go with friends.

First time here, came here for our anniversary, didnt expect much for dinner. And didnt get much for dinner. We sat down to our table, had a few drinks and appitizers. Ordered dinner, nothing special to talk about. Ohh, yes, there mojitos are really good. Wife loved them, I stuck to the botteled beer, cant go wrong. After dinner, went... More

Used to be a great place to have Cuban Dinner. Lately food is really poor and the place remain old. Good music but very disappointing about the food quality lately

Just wandered in on a Tuesday night. Relatively quite but fun all the same. Staff were friendly despite our language barriers and we had a nice couple of mojitos.

I have been there many times and last month July the last time. The venue is a bit small, and hence so is the dance floor, but the music is good and there are still to levels upstair. The band attends two floors and in general plays Cuban Music. Very nice.

I went there with a group of friends. Food was really good. The Carne frita was excellent. When you go sit in the front or one of the terraces, otherwise it can get hot if you are close to the kitchen like we were. The staff was very friendly. Loved the Mojitos, just wish they were bigger! ;) I will... More

Ok. To be clear this is just a stop, not a destination. Try the Jack Daniels Mojito or the classic. Life music here is good. Salsa dancers look great when the place is crowded. This is not a dinner destination but a great stop for a cocktail anytime.

The mojitos and a cuban cigar are why you come here! The live cuban music at night is pretty good as well! They make an awesome mojito!. The cigars they sell are pretty pricey so its probably better to buy one elsewhere and bring your own. Otherwise its a nice little bar that doesnt have deafening ear-ringing music.

La Bodeguita del Medio was founded in Cuba in the 1940s as a corner store owned by Angel Martinez. The store became a meeting place for local artists who enjoyed getting together for an afternoon 'Mojito'. The place has preserved the ambiance of the romantic Carribean lifestyle that flourished with Havana. Today the Bodeguita del Medio is famous world wide for Salsa music, fine cigars, its original Mojitos and having guests write their thoughts and comments on the walls of the restaurant.
