We visited the Saturday market in the park next door and then came across the street for breakfast. Service was good, and there was a line to be seated shortly after we arrived. I had the bagel sandwich with egg and bacon on it. It...was good and was served with a side of fruit. We appreciated that we were able to use a credit card to pay our bill.More
We had walked by this restaurant earlier in the day and were quite impressed how busy it was at lunch. We went back for supper and they managed to find us a table outside without a reservation. The atmosphere was quite nice outside however it...was a little cramped. There is a sidewalk that separates some outside tables from the restaurant so it is quite busy with people, pets, bikes etc. walking by. Service was quick, professional and very friendly. The food was outstanding! Well presented and delicious. My husband had the flank steak and quite enjoyed it. I had the bacon wrapped shrimp, which were amazing.More
Stay away from this place. They scammed us on a glass of wine; $280 pesos for a glass of house wine. No fixings with the fajita anymore and this used to be one of my favorite places. Not anymore
Good food deseves a good tip. This is not a good option for a good steak. Poor quality. 1500 pesos for a piece of meat that wasn't worth 500. I feel completely ripped off. our bill was 3000 pesos. I only left 200 pesos as...a tip (biggest tip I've ever left anywhere) and we were shuned. Never to return or recommend to anyone ever. if you're going there anyways keep your expectations low.More
I recently reviewed the itemized receipt from Serranos Meat House in Puerto Vallarta on 12/18/23, and concluded the subtotal of 3130 pesos was manipulated with ink to show 3730 pesos. The itemized receipt calculates to 3130. The authorized charged amount is 3130 pesos plus 20...percent tip (3756 pesos), not 4476 pesos (720 pesos in fraudulent charges). The itemized receipt shows where the 1 was manipulated to look like a 7 with ink under subtotal on the itemized receipt, which is fraudulent. However, the food was great! ::)More
We went to two other restaurants, both closed before landing here. I was shocked by the prices but since we were going to share we stayed. The arranchero steak 409 pesos or $24.00 came with a small salad. Any extras were additional charge. Baked potato...200 pesos or $12.00. We added five shrimp for 250 pesos $15.00 so pretty spendy from where we come from. We split the dinner and with tip it was 1000 pesos so around $60.00. I guess if you come from a big city your use to these kind of prices. Not expecting this in Puerto Vallarta Mexico. Dinner was fine and enought for us to share but due to high prices would look elsewhere for arranchero.More
We stumbled upon this place and had to try it. Appeared to have many locals in it. We had the pork belly which I really enjoyed but my friend thought was just ok. Then out came the empanadas which was a huge order but very...tasty. But why I’m writing this review ….. the arrachera was amazingly tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Will be back!!More
Food done right here. They are a bit touristy, meaning they think we know what we want but it means they don't have their own character. I don't want to hear loud music, I don't want to hear a soundtrack while someone plays a trumpet....I want good live music that doesn't interfere with conversation. That's dining, especially higher end, which the food is here, along with prices. The meat is fantastic. Had a delicious picanha cut that was hard to cook to perfection because of its size, but the quality was fantastic. The portions are huge so beware. We took lots home. The service is impeccable. The flan, for dessert, is homemade and so good we ordered one to take home as well. I'd come back but I don't like all the street people selling us crap at our tables when we're trying to have upscale dining; and I don't like the loud music where I can't speak. I want a restaurant for me, and for my relaxing and enjoyment, not the owners or the peddlers.More
We had dinner at Serrano's Meat House this week as we have had excellent meals in the past. This time we were extremely disappointed. We both selected a New York Strip Steak Medium Well. My came out with a thin layer of gray and the...rest of the steak as red as it came out of the refrigerator. I sent it back and it was marginally better but I accepted. This steak was so tough it was like eating a leather shoe. It was full of grizzle and I could barely cut it with a steak knife. My wife's was equally as bad. I told the waiter and he more or less said "Better luck next time" This meal cost over $100.00. There will not be a next time.More
The best burger I have had in a long time. Only downside was it was so big I couldn’t eat it all. Great location and service was excellent.
So popped in day one of vacation. Food was very good, would have returned many times but at end of service, the waiter,a young man, decided to add a tip himself, more then 20 percent, without asking or giving me the opportunity to do so....We are Canadian and its customarily for us too tip, but what he did amounted to theft. Will never return. Watch your BILLMore
I had eaten there a few times and the food is fine. Don’t reserve because you show up and they don’t really honor your reservation. We got there and it was full. We were told we could wait at the bar while a table would...be ready. We waited 30 minutes for a table we saw people walking in and they gave them the tables. Went to see the waiter and he said he was not aware of people waiting. There was no manager in charge so we had to leave. Very disorganized. So many options in Vallarta. Too bad.More
We had read lots of good reviews and were excited to try. It was ok. Not bad but not great either. I told waiter as soon as we arrived it was my hubbys birthday but he didn’t seem to really care. No Happy birthday and...definitely no free desert. Which is fine but for the prices they charged they could of done something. Service was ok,not exceptional and same goes with food. I had ribs and hubby had rib eye steak. Both were just ok.More
