The half pound burgers here are terrific. Onion rings also very good. Beer reasonably priced...Service a bit slow but really just on Mexican time. This place was so good we went twice. A "can't miss" burger.

We walk past this restaurant and cafe every day and only recently took time to sample is menu and service. The location on Olas Alta's gives it prime visibility and there is a Main Street table section as well as the seating wraps around the corner and inside if you want to people watch or check emails with more privacy.... I've been to this restaurant many times, it's like a see-saw for service. While the food is good, service is often horrible. My recent visit had a craving for a burger, waited at least 15 minutes to get a menu, instead of the usual asking for the drink order, he just walks away. 5-10 minutes go by I get his... More

We ate here for breakfast. Good, reasonably priced food & efficient service. Has traditional Mexican breakfast dishes as well as American favorites such as pancakes.

It's always fun to drink and eat here. Service is great, food is awesome and it's fun to watch the people go by. It's been a regular for us on each trip.

We stop here every once in a while for coffee but decided to have breakfast. My partner had eggs benedict and I had a California veggie omelet . The service was prompt and pleasant. I also had a wonderful latte. The eggs benny were excellent and had the best hollandaise sauce. My omelet was also very good, well cooked and... More

San Angel Cafe (pronounced Ann hell)is an icon of Vallarta, open since 1998 it has been providing only the best service and quality foods and beverages, both to the locals and the tourist alike. We pride ourselves to be the introducers of gurmet coffee drinks to this town way before Satrbucks even knew it existed. Our concept is a Gourmet Diner, somewhwere where you can dine, wine or simply have coffee and pastries from our Calorie Gallery. We are two retaurants (separated by time rather than by space) under one roof, one is what is known by the american and canadian expats as The Breakfast Club, where you can have both, american and mexican breakfast. The other is The Hamburger Grill that features our list of very interesting burgers made with Angus Prime Beef prpared with our 20 year old recipe. San Angel is located in Olas Altas the main street of what we call the Latin Quarter of Vallarta, in a corner with a full sidewalk area where you can "watch the crazies walk by" and have fun while townspeople do their daily stuf. Come and have a delightfull couple of hours with us, and bring your dog too!
