We discovered Bistro Balsamar a year ago and we have looked forward to returning again since our first experience. We enjoyed the personal attention we received from our host/server and her recommendations we both knew we were going to have the entree we remembered from our visit the year before, Chiles en Nogada. We weren't disappointed, even better then we... More

Bistro Balsamar is not readily visible, but just off "restaurant row". One block to the south of Fredy Toucan. Very good food and friendly staff.

And then you will keep coming back as the food is prepared with so much attention and all ingredients are so fresh and the plates are presented with careful attention. The Chef is really what makes that place unique as he is world reknown and it's his little jewel to have his own restaurant now in PV using his true... More

Happened to walk past and after noting their menu decided to have dinner. The young woman who waited on us as we sat at one of their outside tables was most delightful! The food was fresh and delicious. We started with their cheese and mushroom appetizer followed by the garlic soup (the soup alone will take me back). I had... More

We ate breakfast here 3 times and every time it was very good. I like that it's off of Basilio Badillo and there weren't any lineups. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I also liked sitting outside as well.

Have come here for several years. The food is fresh, delicious and the plate presentaion is beautiful. Shared the squash blossom quasidilla and had the snapper for the entree. Snapper was in a light lime sauce and delicious. They started you off with complimentary fried cauliflower and a dipping sauce. Service is always good.

We have eaten at this restaurant in previous years and always enjoyed it, but service and quality of food have gone downhill tremendously. Every item including our drinks arrived wrong. I asked for an orangeade and got lemonade, I ordered Queso Fundido with chorizo and got Queso Fundido with mushrooms. No plates were given for the appetizers, our entrée was... More
