Very tasty food, lots of different choices. The best is the mariachi alive. Just should be not so loud, some people does not like to listen loud music for a long time.

We were strolling down the malecón trying to find a place to eat breakfast. Either the owner or a worker was standing out there with menus. They have a great selection of mexican dishes. We decided to eat there and we're very pleased we did. We were seated on a balcony with a great view of the beach and the... More

I was walking on the Malecon doing some souvenir shopping on a early weekday morning and was starving. I asked a local shop owner if she knew of a good, cheap place to eat. She directed me to La Chata. At first I was apprehensive due to being empty but then again it was early. I was approached by a... More

Very authentic Mexican Food as well as fish. Very fresh food. It take a while to get your food but it's because it's not pre-made. Great place to watch people walk on the malecon and watch the sunset.

We just found this place walking along the Malecon, and decided to give it a try. It was the best breakfast we had all week! The food was delicious and we sat overlooking the Malecon with an ocean view. I highly recommend it!

Stopped in by chance...pleasantly surprised. The food was reasonably priced, flavorful, and nicely presented. The house salad was delicious as were the enchiladas, although they could have had a little more chicken. The salsa, guacamole and pico de gallo were fantastic. Spicy and very fresh. The margaritas were generous. The view was lovely. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The food was good, the portions were large, the salsa was great, the pico de gallo was spicey and the margaritas were tasty and strong. The staff was extremely welcoming and attentive.

We had been before, and stopped in to La Chata for a drink and snack again this year. It's such a lovely spot - up above all the action, cheerful setting, very nice service. Next time we're going to go for a more substantial meal, as what we have had there before has been very good.

A nice balcony table for sunset and good Margaritas. Service is a little slow, but we were a party of 10. Chiles rellenos very good as were the Flautas. Not munch wine, good fair prices. Fantastic people watching and sunset.
