A large group of us, all never having ate Cuban food before and not knowing what to expect, were all blown away by how great the food was! I don't even normally like rice but their yellow rice was the best thing that I have...More

This place has the ambient feeling that is Puerto Vallarta. You can hear great live salsa music, even if you cannot dance like so many people do. The open air and quaint tables lend a special feel to this classic "hot spot" Each year the...More

This place is pricey because it is right on the Malecon, however the ambience is spot on. We came here for drinks and to watch people dance. It can get crowded, but that can be part of the appeal. We actually got food to go...More

Tasty Cuban food, for Puerto Vallarta standards, nothing so far compares to Miami. Great view of the boardwalk, kids loved looking out from the second floor patio. You can also go behind the bar and mix your own Mojito which my wife enjoyed, at no...More

We stopped in here for lunch on our cruise while in port. The Cuban band was very good and not very loud which was quite nice. I had the mahi mahi special and it was amazing. Spouse had the flank steak and he loved it...More

we stopped in and got drinks after shopping around for awhile - great service and strong drinks with a beautiful view - my only regret is not bringing a sharpie to leave my mark

Classy joint on El Malecon with incredible live bands, great service, long hours, good prices, and decent drinks. Vino Tinto left me a little less enthused than I hoped but the dancing, music and good vibes make up for it. A memorable night out dancing...More

atmosphere is nice with the cuban band but the paella was very bland. Really just old chicken and salty rice. Drinks are expensive but normal for the Malecon. Best to just nurse a drink and listen to the band.

this was one of my favorite restaurants in the place. The decoration and the music are very in sync with the food. Loved the ropa vieja and the sweet plantains. Must go

La Bodeguita del Medio was founded in Cuba in the 1940s as a corner store owned by Angel Martinez. The store became a meeting place for local artists who enjoyed getting together for an afternoon 'Mojito'. The place has preserved the ambiance of the romantic Carribean lifestyle that flourished with Havana. Today the Bodeguita del Medio is famous world wide for Salsa music, fine cigars, its original Mojitos and having guests write their thoughts and comments on the walls of the restaurant.
