We've been coming to Carmelita's for years and should have written a review some time ago. It is on stone island which is isolated but is a hidden gem. Reuben who is my favorite waiter by a million miles is the nicest guy ever. The restaurant has everything including beach beds that I use every time. The food is the... More

Alec to excellent care of us. We had a shelter and a beach bed every day for a week. Never failed us! The food was good for beach food, and we ate there every day. The staff helped me chase our runaway dog, while taking care of their customers.

Stopped at Letys when we got to Stone Island, had a quick bite and rented ATVs. When we returned we decided to try Carmelitas almost next door. Good choice ! Reuben our waiter was outstanding. Served up the best margarita I had in Mazatlan then brought a second one that was even better! ( bring along a friend to help... More

We ate at Carmelita's approximately 12 times in one week as we were staying nearby. The breakfast was always fresh, hot and tasty. When we ordered orange juice they ran and grabbed fresh oranges and squeezed them. For lunch we had a great variety of food from shrimp to fresh fish to fajitas. Every thing was always hot and tasted... More

We went to this restaurant based on a recommendation and good reviews and were not disappointed. Carmelita and her amazing staff served up the best enchiladas, empanadas, mole' chicken and desserts we had all trip. Her coffee is also amazing! Highly recommend this family-run restaurant!

Excellent service and food. Had the restaurant to ourselves for the day it was wonderful. Lots of vendors but found some unique stone-island exclusives.

One of the many restuarants on Stone Island to choose from, Carmelitas offers cold beer, great food and service. Aways plenty of tables and chairs under palapas and a few loungers with umbrellas in the sand. Washrooms were clean.

We met friends from all over the world (Canada, Australia & France) on our first visit to Carmelita's two years ago. We all had a good time and closed the place down. Gary helped us catch the last water taxi back when he drove us to the embaradero that night. Well this trip we visited Gary and Anna on our... More
